Scott Chaplain, Marc Twaddle. A few McCall signings seemed to peak with us.
  2. You gone mad, BJ? I do agree though, with hindsight keeping Galls would have been better for us. Hopefully Crawford can impress, had one decent save tonight by the sound of it.
  3. Commentary is murder tonight, horrible garbled noises the whole time. Tried really hard to keep listening but I think I'm done.
  4. The rotten centre half appeared to be the guy Cerny told me about, ex Liverpool and Yeovil Town he told me: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jakub_Sokol%C3%ADk Certainly looks like him from a google image search.
  5. I'd rather have Conrad than yesterday's trialists.
  6. Game seemed more of a fitness exercise than anything else. First goal was a stupid pen, next a corner we didn't bother to defend, next a fast break we would normally have stopped with a smart foul in a more competitive game, then finally nice long range goal. Trialist CB in first half was rotten including passes all over the place and have away the pen. Trialist from Reading was decent again. Adeez offered something different which was nice. Overall though we generated nothing. Decent day out though and result was irrelevant.
  7. He was gutted last night when I told him Cirencester didn't have any pies.
  8. Just looked up a picture of Donnelly, it was him at CB. Had a quiet game I felt, hard to judge against that team.
  9. There was a right back in the second half who looked decent, the players were calling him Sean. The players not involved were all sat behind me, told me he was from Reading. Looked decent on the ball and very quick. Never saw him put a cross in though. He seems to tire easily especially after (brilliantly) controlling a long ball on his chest which winded him. Didn't check who the CB was and last track of who everyone was with all the substitutions. Devine looked good and very talkative and Syme seemed to take on all the talking in the second half. Defense were never really challenged mind you, so they all did fine. I was told there is a Czech defender who might be involved on Saturday.
  10. Ditto to Lambie's lost doo. I've not bought a thistle shirt since puma, but this one is pretty decent.
  11. I can't believe I'm not bottom after only giving the first round of matches! You can remove me from the competition, I've been too busy to submit anything and there's no point now.
  12. Did I hear right that the foul is now awarded where the ball was touched, and not where the offside player was when the pass was made?

I reckon I'll be driving up for both games. Loving that we can get pre season friendlies this far south, though it was obviously much easier (for me) last year!
  14. What do you expect when our players are looking forward to a holiday and the opponents are contenders to win the Euros? Was it not four years ago this month that we lost 5-1 to the USA? These last two results mean nothing, but I still don't expect to qualify for anything any time soon.
  15. I'd rather Archie didn't sign anyone, just in case they happened to be a bad influence.
  16. It seems daft but sense in the end. They were seeded in the second pot which was imbalanced geographically, so was either them, St Mirren, Rangers or Morton who had to be placed the north section.
  17. The season has been over two seconds, we have the majority of our squad signed up with another club's player on a PCA. What do you want?
  18. Desperately hoping for Queen of the South away on a weekend. Other than that not too bothered really. Could the QoS be televised?
  19. I'm sorry I've just been busy! I'll get it done later today.
  20. Finally some closure over the Chris Duggan story. It's been clear for a long time he would never be involved at this level. Sad that Bannigan isn't even considering us, but I guess if he's being offered much more money elsewhere then it's no surprise.
  21. The stats speak for themselves, but at the same time we'll never have a back up as good as the first choice. The question is can he improve to the point where we don't worry every time he plays? I'm not sure. He isn't the toughest but as a goalkeeper he's still fairly young. I feel he would probably develop better elsewhere where he would probably play more regularly.
  22. Very sad news, always sad to hear of someone's passing but the loss of a character like him or Chico hits very hard. I would echo the call for a hall of fame induction for Ricky and Chico.
  23. 250-1, longest odds out of the teams currently showing odds on oddschecker. Reckon Hamilton will have longer odds.
