I agree with this to a degree. But he improved as last season progressed. A late developer, it took him some time to appreciate what the PL is about and that he was a better bet than Stevenson and one or two others.

No way should Adams be hated more than Macnamara. I don't have have much time for the latter but at least he contributed to Thistle's resurgence. And he contributed to the Arabs demise. So 2 plus points for him. I actually believe, given a decent club, he will progress his career again as he has undoubted talent. I agree with Moneh. I go anyway, no matter whether we are poor or world class. But I would like to see us and Scottish football teams generally playing a more attacking style. When wee Edwards exploded on to that cross on Saturday it was a magical moment because one of the miriad of midfielders actually got in the box. We don't really have wingers. I call Amoo a wing back. Almost the same role as booth esp when muzzy ain't playing. There are several technical posters on here who are probably correct in their tactics, like Archie but I get bored with all the bodies in midfield. Give me goals. Until Teams go out to attack, fans will drift away. I would watch Dundee if I wasn't so committed to Thistle. I now don't turn up till 2 minutes before ko to avoid the ladeeda song. It makes us look like a bunch of ......... Bloody lucky anyone turns up with this embarrassment. Please please please play some James brown instead. Craigen would have done a job for us this season. He was very inexperienced as a professional and was still learning his trade. We signed him from a very low level. An intelligent man who took a while to settle as a pro because I think he had set his career target in a different direction till jacky m came calling. The SPL was a huge jump in standard to him and he was finding his feet towards the end of the season, just like Christy. I am not surprised that he has starred at Raith.Going to a well managed club like Falkirk will be a good move for both.

We gave it a real go 2nd half. Problem is doolan and lawless are the only ones with an eye for goal. I thought Pogba must have had a kick up the ass at ht because he was terrific for the next 25 minutes. We were getting players forward but as soon as the ball came in the box there was nobody with a cool head. Play 2 strikers vs Celtic and see how it goes. But we need Miller on defensive duties. A very entertaining game so not too disappointed. And some great performances. Amoo has been looking better so perhaps he Can now kick on, though he was against a donkey. And good to see Welshy having an influential game.

I don't think any jags fan expects us to 'routinely' beat these teams. But we should put ourselves in with a chance. We will never beat any of them the way we approach these games. Perhaps I shall be proved wrong this week. 3-2 against Dons. And 4-3 against Celtic. This approach would may some of you guys uptight and way outta sight! Don't worry, be happy!

I didn't go to the game because we are terrified of the big 3. We must escape the attitude that it is ok to lose 1-0. There is no entertainment in a game like that. What a waste of money. This is the main reason for declining crowds. Would rather lose 4-2 trying to score some goals. Archie hS built a cracking team with some great attackers. It's about time he put them to good use against the top Teams.

Some good points on here. I have been saying for some time that Banzo is just getting better and better now that he knows he is a class above most players in the league. Loved the way he effortlessly drifted past the no 22 several times. He has matured into a very good player. Also Booth, Seaborne, Lawless and Cerny are very good now. So let's get fired into the top 3 and show what we can do. No defensive line ups please. BTW That referee Thomson is an absolute disgrace. I hold him solely responsible for allowing Lawless to be banjoed all night and unsurprisingly injured. The incident after about 15 when he walked past the last defender only to be hacked down was a straight red. The guy was not even booked.

I was very grumpy after the cup game because we never showed what we can do. Delighted to see pog,Stevie and aiden all starting though it took a while to get going. After about 30 mins we just took over. I think Archie had a word with Banzo at ht and told him that he was the best player on the park and to dominate. He was brilliantly backed up by Christie and boothy and we destroyed them 2nd half. Banzo had that wee look on his face. Well done Archie for getting it spot on tonight. Btw. How good is booth? I assume at was nesbitt's 1st start in senior football and he does look like someone who can be very very good. And Archie will make the most of it. Honourable mentions for seaborne and wee Stevie who played some great stuff with booth 2nd half. And their no 3 was rank rotten!

I do not want to see 3 lumbering centre backs plus a non attacking right back. The thought of going 1 down in the 80th minute, then big Liam having get down the flank and put in crosses is too much to even think about. We have some good attackers. Let's use them this time.

I defy anyone who attended not to be raging. We definitely have one of the best teams I have seen in nearly 50 years of supporting Thistle. This is the perception of most fans but from Saturday's selection, not the view of the management. 2 central defenders would have been enough to look after DU. It was clear from the start that, especially Frans hadn't a clue what was supposed to be happening. And late on in the game we had big Liam rampaging down the left wing! I really thought we could challenge for a trophy this year with the team Archie has built and the team spirit. This is why everyone is so disgruntled. We shouldn't be anywhere near relegation and I have confidence in the management to steer us clear. And that is Archie's job. But it may not be pretty and I cannot see how to fit in the 2 new attackers to such a safe regime. I don't want to see Thistle year after year playing like this. Agree with JLS. It appears we now have a decent pool with no injuries. The subs are desperate for a go and should be introduced for the hearts game. I suspect Archie will be happy with 0-0 or a 1-0 defeat so we don't face the ignominy of a thrashing. So after yesterday I will not be going. Pogba may not be the greatest but he caused mayhem enough to present Amoo with a golden chance. So let's see doolan with some support. I am fed up feeling sorry for him.

2 things I want to be entertained I want thistle to win something else in my lifetime. If I had heard the team selection before I left home I wouldn't have bothered going and watched the rugby instead. Reaching the final every time because we can never win the league. Certainly don't want to drop down a league but always liked visiting other grounds in the lower divisions. I am still raging at the Bobby Houston semi against Rangers Mark 1 in 1979. And attending and winning 1971 was the best of all days, one that I would love my sons to be able to replicate. Even if we lost in the final, at least jags fans would have a well deserved party day. We are a very good side at the moment, all playing for each other and will never be involved in the play offs anyway. So let's go for cup glory.

I watch football because I love players like lawless and Erskine and O'Donnell and Higgy. There are too few of these types around. They are entertainers. Plenty room in our team for wee Stevie and Erskine. Tell Mixu to gtf. I suspect he will lose interest in lawless after the cup tie and get lawless signed up like the others.
