  1. Gary Harkins (Premiership) and Paul Harkins (League 2)... Not quite Pogba vs Pogba though!
  2. Just back from Starks Park... 0-0 was fair, typical pre-season friendly. We started off disorganised and lacking any sharpness but after 10 minutes got going. We we fairly comfortable without creating any chances in the first half. Second half continued in the same vain until Osman and Erskine were subbed. Team got younger and younger. Raith had the best chances but they were shots from outside or edge of the area. We had one effort on target all match, I think. Some opinions on players... Trialist keeper was small but seemed okay, saved a couple of efforts but wasn't greatly tested. Syme looked good, fairly fast and positive and some strength. Devine was a little disappointing, turned easily and missed several challenges, but probably just needing to gel and get sharp. Trialist no 6 looked pretty good, won most challenges but isn't a massive lad. Penrice wasn't great, poor touches, poor passes and couldn't beat his man, hope/expect to see better from him though. Welsh, Osman and Stevie all their usual. Erskine was postive and pushed us forward, needs to sharpen his touch but linked well with Stevie. Doolan wasn't involved. Subs... McCarthy (?) looked good, some nice touches. Pogba didn't do much but gave some presence. Amoo looked a little threatening and his usual. Azeez looked positive but only had a couple of runs that fizzled out. McDaid did very little. McInally (?), don't think he did much. Sorry for a long post, hope it helps those that couldn't make the game
  3. True! We can't score just now, that's an emergency, isn't it?
  4. How did we get Robbie Muirhead? And young Aiden from Celtic? You can definitely loan within your league.
  5. Team announced: Tomas Cerný, Gary Miller, Daniel Seaborne, Sean Welsh, Callum Booth, Abdul Osman, Stuart Bannigan, Kris Doolan, Steven Lawless, Frederic Frans, Christie Elliott. Subs: Ryan Scully, David Amoo, David Wilson, Ryan Edwards, Gary Fraser, Kevin Nisbet, Mathias Pogba
  6. If it was part of the deal or a mutual agreement then, yes, they basically could.
  7. I doubt it as if they were really bothered about that then Dundee United could insist on a clause/agreement that prevented Erskine playing against them this season.
  8. I have no idea of the standard in India but German played in front of 65,000 most weeks and had one or two Indian clubs very keen to sign him in December but he opted for a return to the UK. Some Kerala Blasters fans saying he was the highlight of their poor season and they hoped he would stay. Fingers crossed for the lad!

    Pogba

I wasn't at the game yesterday but if our front man scores and has a poor game - I'm more than happy with that! Goals are his aim, if he plays well and creates but doesn't score then fair enough. If he plays crap and scores then fair enough as well! Also, Pogba has started our last three games where we picked up 7 points, it is a team game obviously but perhaps his contribution, including off the ball pressure, movement and presence, is being underestimated by some. Early days but I am happy with his start at Thistle. Edited: saw his goal, nice movement and timing and I bet some strikers would have slammed that over the bar or straight at the keeper!
  10. Osman has been one of our best players his season, very consistent and brings some calm and grit to the team. Hope he stays.
  11. Locke is a safe option.

    Stevenson

Probably because he played a blinder against us at Firhill, scoring multiple goals. Along the same lines as Baird signing - he scored a hatrick against Archie at Firhill. In all seriousness, I think we did jump in too quickly for him as he doesn't seem to fit in with our team and he isn't offering us much so far.
  13. Gerry's against Dundee in the cup, even the build up play with the cheeky back-heel from Paul Walker was class...
  14. This. It was a class goal and better than at least a few on the video.
  15. http://ptfc.co.uk/ne...gns_for_thistle Signed for the season, best of luck to him!
  16. http://www.bbc.co.uk...otball/29015257 BBC Sport reporting it now.
  17. Archie needs a wake up call regarding Stevenson/Doolan. What does Dools have to do to start?! Reckon Stevenson has been told if he signs for us we will make him captain and he will always feature. Ridiculous. Pleased with rest of the line up though.
  18. I was interviewed on Sportscene for like 5 seconds And Higgy's goal was sublime. Two positive things! I must be an eternal optimist!
  19. Nice to hear it via Twitter before PTFC! Not! https://twitter.com/...449601342091265 Anyway, welcome to Firhill and hope you have a successful season with us. Promising stuff from SkySports in December: The 22-year-old has been a shining light at the heart of the Tamworth defence all season and his progress has not gone unnoticed among clubs higher up the football pyramid. Richards-Everton's aerial dominance and technical ability with the ball at his feet has alerted a host of clubs to his talent.
  20. Ah, thanks for confirming that. I thought it was the cross-border thing rather than the timing of his deal.
  21. Encouraging that Birmingham were looking at him, assuming we are interested. However, would the compensation affect us? We got nothing for Sincy since he was crossing the border, would have thought it was vice versa.

    Doolan

News flash: Doolan makes Maradona look skinny! This thread is actually hilarious
  23. Hmmm... maybe he has a version of Tourettes... that could explain why he jumped up, screamed at and taunted Seaborne when the penalty was awarded.
