I enjoyed the stats posted on another thread, that I now can't find.... It indicated that we lost points near the end of games after being ahead in the main. I wonder how we do when we're behind. Do we attack the other teams and have more possession towards the end of games? If we're mostly ahead, then it makes sense that we would be under attack at the end. I feel this is fine, as long as we're in the ascendency when it's the other way round. Also, have we lost the most points towards the end of games because we're ahead more than other teams? Someone who can find the stats, may know if they provide this insight.

Great result today. We just need to keep winning. A lot can happen between now and the end of the season. DU are beatable and I find it unlikely that Raith will continue to run as good as they have to date. Up The Jags.

Completely agree. Took us an hour to kind of get used to it. It will be a very sad day if we ever get one, because I don't think I'll be able to take the game seriously any more. Those pitches are a disgrace and need to be banned.

Getting a home tie is good but there were about 50 easier ties than this one.

Is there any chance of a rearranged game for Friday 17th or Saturday 18th November? I'm in Glasgow for that whole weekend and was hoping for a game, as we're out of the lower league cup.

I don't think there's any need to twist this. We most certainly are not a UK/Unionist Club and flying a UK flag above our stadium would most certainly be a political message. Our Club does everything to avoid being measured in this way and we are a Club that is all inclusive. I'm proud to say this. It's maybe a different argument but flying the Saltire does not make a Club / person an anti-unionist or an SNP supporter. Being a Club in Scotland, I imagine it would go largely unnoticed. Flying the Union flag, would be a statement and it's not something I would appreciate or understand.

Hard to know what to say about this without sounding political and any personal view on the flag situation could start a 700 page thread I'm sure. If it's true however, then the other directors have read the room correctly. Well mine at least. It's a shame to lose a fan of Thistle in any circumstances but it does highlight the old adage of not mixing business with pleasure. When I win the Euromillions, I'll be throwing money at Thistle but like to think I'll retain my 'fan only' status.

I see they are Thistle fans and are probably doing what I'd do if I won the lottery. The exception being that I wouldn't want any shares but I understand theirs is a business proposition for the team they support. How will they benefit from the shares? Will they receive financial recompense or will they get a say in the boardroom?

Ngwenya seemed to take up a strange starting position when being faced up. It worried me, as he didn't seem to have the correct angle to tackle or the speed to catch the player that had gone by him. Felt sure he was going to concede a penalty. Thought Neilson had a great game at the back. Read the game well, won his headers and distributed confidently. Lawless was outstanding in the second half.

It's really not easy to support any other team. I've lived in England for most of my life and been to a few grounds to watch different teams. I even followed my home town team, Corby, for a couple of years but it's just not the same. I'll watch an English game with Scottish players in it and in some way enjoy it but that's about it. I'll only ever support Thistle and Scotland. If Thistle were no more, I'd only support Scotland.

I feel qualified to answer this, having had many a pint before the footie. For me it's about extending the day / trip and enjoying the place you're in and the company you're with for longer. I travel a fair way to most of the games I watch (Thistle and Scotland), and meet with friends and family for a beer and maybe even a bite to eat. I've done the 700 mile round trip to Glasgow and back a few times in the same day but it's far more enjoyable to stay up there and go out on the town. A close friend that travels with me feels the same way, so it's a no brainer. We hit upon the idea that we'd try a pub we'd never been in before each time we come up. The Sparklehorse in Partick was a rare find. As for drinking during the game, that's just to delay the hangover. Nothing worse than sobering up halfway through a game.

And a few outliers. I'd probably be one of those.

I was impressed at a valiant attempt at normal distribution, with an almost perfect inverted Bell Curve. Thistle fans showing their class as per usual.

A win would give the players and the support some belief that this could be a good season. Early days, but they all count.

I'm still of a mind that one day, the Bing will be transformed into a terracing once more. I'd wait until we could name that in honour of Mr. McParland, with the road behind, already suitably named.
