Looks like I'll be holding off signing up to the TJF for the time being. Just when we thought we'd turned a corner with the happy clappy media output and intro videos. Complete and utter embarrassing funking shambles. Based on nothing other than this thread and know nothing about the guy but looks like a wee cleak/ptfc cabal has ousted a guy that wanted the best for the club. Are we definitely sure Jacqui Low has left the club? Anyone know how much a Maryhill Juniors ST is?

I heard an old boy say on the way up to the game 'is that Williams away then' Anyone else heard this or discussed on another thread?

I often sit low front left in the 2nd half. My mild mannered 12 year old expressed a wish to commit violence for the first time due to the wee kids smacking the gate. Does somebody not own these annoying wee feckers. If it it was my son he would get told to wrap it. Looks like we'll be moving to a new area from now on 🤣

Myself and Junior can't make it this weekend. Is there any way that our season tickets could be used by someone else or is that not the done thing? (not looking for money) Was thinking maybe a one off use for the game by Jags For Good? Is that a thing or is it to much admin for the club. Sure other clubs have systems in place to let unused season tickets get utilised.

Raith Rovers canny have a bigger budget than us. Surely not! With the greatest of respect, where do people on here or any forum get their budget info for other clubs or ours for that matter. Complete pie in the sky guess work and I take any such chat with a sack a salt. Raith Rovers were in dire financial straights last season and last game of the season they played us with 2 subs on bench. As far as I'm aware they get poorer crowds than us and haven't had a big finance injection.

For what it's worth I'd hang fire with the doom and gloom squad slating. I'm Thistle's No.1 depressed pessimist but as Auld Jag says let's get quarter one out the way and see how we're shaping up. League can easily be won with a honkin start then a mad mental unbeaten run. Seen it happen loads over the years. Getting hammered at Tyncastle next week may set us back mind you.

Probably would have kept Mullen if both he and Dowds were out of contract. Unfortunately a previous manager gave Dowds a 2 year deal. Was also signed on a pre contract so no even a stop gap desperation signing. 🤣

Don't understand why Dowds never came on for Graham. Sure we could've salvaged a point if big Anton had got 20 mins at the end.

Doolan must go. Need more experience. Jim Jefferies or Bobby Williamson for me.

Agreed. Said from day one. Get rid of these pitches. Not required in this day and age if you're only playing 18-20 games on grass. Shi7ebags at SFA and SPFL need to step up and have a 3 year amnesty on them and get rid once and for all.

Said this to Junior TLB. Spends far to much time claiming for fouls and overacting. May actually be a blunder making him captain as it cements his place in the team and makes it harder to drop him. Several times a match (evey match) where he's the least professional player in the team. Berating refs, moaning at team-mates and blaming others for his own deficiencies are not what makes a good captain for me. People love his energy and enthusiasm, but Doolan may have made a rod for his own back. Someone else should have been picked and Doolan could then have the option to drop him. Saying that, we have zero options if Graham is pish for a game or two or happens to get injured so probably a moot point.

Nothing more depressing than watching Thistle trying to push for a win or draw in the final 10 minutes and Dowds is up top running about like a headless chicken as usual. Not bad going for me. Pissed away £300 on a season ticket at 11pm last night (need to stay off phone when drinking) and left today at 2-2. Wonder if I'll beat last seasons tally of being in the stadium twice at the final whistle. Absolute predictable garbage at 2-0 as we sat in, lowered the tempo and invited them to break us down. Surely first half must've told Doolan there was no chance we would go the full 90 and not concede? Anyone got a link to the ST refund page on the official site?

Seems Adeloye has had attitude and application issues in the second half of last season. Hope Doolan has done his homework if he's a legitimate target. Saying that I'd take a couple of nomarks from the juniors right now if it meant we didn't have 2 goalkeepers on the bench each week. Erskine & Doolan 2023 versions will do.

Another day goes by and no sign of any new players. Wonder if Doolan is stacking them up for a big 5 player multi reveal? 😏

Time will tell. I know Doolan needs ST money to get players in. The fact that people like me are holding off and complaining hasn't escaped me either. Still, I'll hold off and see what kind of squad he's rustled together a couple of days before RR at Firhill and decide then.

Is it me or is this the thinnest squad we've ever had at this point of a preseason? Love all the OS updates but the lack of player news is doin ma head in. Doolan has 2 weeks to beef out the squad and I may skoosh some cash on a ST. Otherwise it's watching from the couch for me this season.

I imagine after payday and in the first 5 days of August there may be a few more bought. I've not renewed and may still not, but any chances of me caving in are going to be from the 1st onwards. Sure there will be a few other holding off also.

Zander MacKenzie will eventually transition to Centre Back from Right Back according to these Viaplay Commentating Clowns. Craigen should know better. Pish like that sums up tinpot Scottish football. Canny even do 20 mins research before spouting 90 mins of drivel.
