Anyone received season tickets ?

Has anyone received any emails from the club re. Season tickets? I renewed last April but haven’t heard anything since. In fact I don’t recall seeing any emails from the club like I used to (pre match previews etc.). Just wondering if they no longer have my contact details or if this is just standard at the moment? -
It was almost Caldwellesque. Cole’s influence was reduced considerably. Penrice looked lost in midfield thus increasing the load on Banzo and Robson was completely inept at full back. Doubt we would have got anything from the game but the change made it impossible.

Think he misses next Saturday rather than the Scottish Cup game.

Spot on with that analysis Jag. I do get frustrated with Zanatta’s lack of effort to win any aerial battles. He constantly just looks back at the defender while backing in and never really jumps for the ball. Think he needs to offer a bit more than we’re currently getting.

Thought that was the best we’ve played so far this season. You can certainly see Caldwell’s game plan of building from the back in action although it does give rise to the odd risky moment. Ad an aside my 5 yr old has been let in free of charge for both away ties but have to pay for him at Firhill. Not sure if that’s Queen’s Park and Hamilton behind that or the generosity of the turnstile guys.

Buses were on. Not sure how many but saw a fair few in all the traffic trying to leave Ayr after the game.

Game definitely on according to Falkirk website.

Spot on with the McGinty change. Our best chance of winning the tie was last night. Why play for a replay? Given the draw later I can't help feel that last night was an opportunity missed. That being said I wasn't expecting us to get anything from the match so can't be too critical. I was quite impressed with Mansell last night. There were a few dissenting voices in the JH stand particularly early on with shouts for him to be replaced by either Doolan or McDonald. Don't think they could have been at Dunfermline last week where those two were very poor and exhibited no hold up play whatsoever. When Mansell came on in that match we finally looked like having a forward who could potentially keep possession and I thought he did well last night too. Hope we give it a go in the replay but would trade a win there for 3 points on Saturday.

Brice Ntambwe has ended up at Macclesfield. Wonder if Sol Campbell watched the same video as Archie? I think Dunfermline did a potentially good bit of business by taking Bruce Anderson on loan from Aberdeen. Wouldn't have been disappointed if we'd picked him up.

There are some striking parallels here with what happened at Bristol City some years back. We were in league one hoping to get back up to the championship but had started the season very poorly under a club 'legend' Brian Tinnion. He left, I think, by mutual consent after a thrashing away at Swansea. The manager who replaced him was Gary Johnson. Initial results and performances were awful. Rumours were rife of dressing room unrest. We were a club seen as a soft touch with players happy to take a good wage to see out their careers and also a culture of going out on the town drinking. Johnson got rid of the deadwood, it was very much his way or the highway. We went on a long winless run stuck in the bottom four with relegation a real possibility. Fans were not impressed. He came over as very sure of his ways which to some appeared arrogant given the results were so poor. However with loan signings complimenting the players who had remained results turned around and we finished the season strongly ending up 9th of 24. The following season we got promoted to the Championship and the season after that lost in the play-off final to Hull. That was the pinnacle of his career at City and his downfall was largely around his apparent difficulty in managing better players egos. A lot of this feels very similar to Caldwell. I've seen some shocking displays and questionable tactics under Caldwell, Morton away being a particular example. I didn't rate him based on these early performances and the jury is still out to a degree. Things have definitely improved though and I'm feeling much more upbeat about our chances of staying up and hopefully the parallels with Bristol City will continue and we'll get promoted next season.

Can't argue with your assessment on the striking options. Another possible factor is Coulibaly. I was surprised that if deemed fit enough for the bench on Saturday he didn't get the nod to replace Roy rather than Doolan. Think he needed more than 5 minutes at the end and that would have been a good game to do that.

Just wanted to say how impressed I was with the calendar signing and kids Christmas party that took place last night. It's a real credit to the club to put something like that on free of charge. My 5 year old loved it. He met all the players and management team whilst his calendar was signed and he had a ball at the party afterwards. The majority of the players were really good with the kids although Jack Storer looked like he didn't want to be there. As a born Bristolian who has spent the majority of my life supporting Bristol City I can't remember Bristol City ever doing anything like that. I've only started watching Thistle with my boy since the back end of last season and we've got season tickets this year. I've mostly observed this forum as I've felt I've only been watching the team for a relatively short time and haven't the depth of knowledge as to what's happened in the past. In this case I thought it was worth highlighting that, as far as doing stuff for the kids goes, the club has really impressed me.
