  1. We were widely inconsistent under McCall; we have been pretty consistent under Doolan as his points per game shows.
  2. If QP have forgotten to check who has access to Ochilview on Friday night, this would be a Laughter Special, in its own right.
  3. " Discussions between the clubs, as well as our colleagues at Stenhousemuir, and various authorities are ongoing and the outcome of these talks will be announced as soon as possible on the club website."
  4. A potential sticking point for Friday? Sometimes you just have to laugh 🤣 " Argenbright Security Europe Limited (ASEL) and its associated companies, Amberstone Security, The Protector group and Tailored Fire and Security (TFS) are holding the charity football match at Stenhousemuir FC’s Ochilview Park from 7pm on Friday, May 12. The event aims to raise cash for The Laughter Specialists Charitable Trust, which supports vulnerable children and their families through engaging and supportive interactions."
  5. The most interesting take from the shirt sponsorship deal for me, was that quite a few players stated the disappointment at not winning the title this year. There was still an air of confidence, not arrogance, which was good to see. If we cannot beat a depleted, lino on the beach outfit, we are as well chucking it, in terms of the playoffs anyways... Raith 0 Thistle 2
  6. It's okay, Kevin barely said a word 🤣 I think he's just a quiet lad. I spent most of my time talking to Paul McDonald.
  7. Dools has collected 19pts from his 10 games in charge, recent form has dropped off a bit with 8 pts from the last 5. Obviously, things will look a lot rosier with a win on Saturday. ICT hitting a great run of form, puts a concern on getting a playoff place, but that is in our own hands, IF we win out. I'd still say Dundee will win the league, QP and ICT probably fighting it out for second and third. Thistle will probably finish fourth, but we'd want to go into those games on a decent run of wins, but you never know, in this league. A loss on Saturday and it might even be a struggle for that, lowly target. Interesting times...
  8. How many has he started though? 🤔 Can't be easy knowing you will be on the bench behind Lawless and Tiffoney every week? Either way, it is a mental/ motivational issue with Fitzy, rather than a lack of ability.
  9. Interesting that in the post match comments,Danny Mullen said that the big difference is we go into matches, with a gameplan these days.
  10. We've beaten Cove, in the cup in 2012 😇 We are defending well (Brownlie's brainfart aside), so we need to be more creative. We are getting players forward but as said we are getting nothing from set-pieces our positional play creates. Also need to find a way to support BBG from open play. Milne being out is a blow, but we have options. Hodson will probably come in, but I wouldn't mind Zander McKenzie getting a chance. One of those games where any win will do, so let's break the league hoodoo, and I'll go for 1-0 to Thistle.
  11. Thats the form table from the last 6 games. It also corresponds to Kris Doolan's 6 games in charge. In terms of a title challenge you are looking at an average of 2pts a game over the course of the season, so the numbers give hope if we can keep that rate going. Equates to winning your home games a point on the road. 2 per game isn't quite enough this season, when he took over, and we are looking at an outside chance of second. Most probably third though. However, we have certainly sorted out the defence and losing sloppy goals. Now we need to find the scoring touch and who knows where the playoffs takes us. TL;DR - Good start from Dools but probably not enough to win the league from where he took over, but would have a good chance over the course of a season. As Kris said, there's still plenty of big games to come.
  12. We may well have two more games with them, this season...
  13. Firhill for Thrills - Johnston's for Rolls
  14. Morton have been playing some kind of diamond in midfield, to accomodate/ shoehorn in Robbie Crawford into their side. Not sure, but 3-5-2 might give us midfield superiority, certainly in the middle of the park. Might affect our attacking input though if they can shut down Jack and Harry, getting forward. Their ticket site is a shambles. Do you register even though it says that only for Morton fans? Anyway, could all be moot witht these Arctic conditions.
  15. We'll be lucky if this game is on. Must be in doubt?
  16. Who can really confidently predict a result in this crazy league? I'd be happy to avoid defeat, but delighted with a win. Nagging doubt is will Imrie let his charges away with another sub par performance? Morton 1 Thistle 2
  17. ...and one if that boards is on the interim board...and apparently not a fan of Mr McCall...
  18. Interesting to see how we line up at home when expected to take the game to the opposition. Anyway, we're entering the Championship rounds so any win will do. Good luck to Kris and Paul 🔴🟡⚫️
  19. That is just not true. He also had underlying health issues that affected him and his susceptibility to injury while at Thistle. That's this season's appearances below.
  20. Top flight games have each half of the split kicking off at the same time. I remember we played most of our last games of the season at lunchtime on a Sunday. Makes sense that if a game is on Friday night TV, all games kick off at the sanetim, to avoid any shenanigans, as WJ alludes to.
  21. That one mustard passed me by? 🤪
  22. Not in back to back games. But to be fair, McCall did actually get 10/30 points on the road, so still not great from McCall on our travels.
  23. Kris Doolan has got 7/9 away from home. McCall got 7/27...
