  1. Can't believe Tena scored from there, almost pissed myself
  2. Opposition clubs and clubs from further south are aware of our players I'm sure. However money is tight at all levels of the game in Scotland. Down South there is more money at some clubs especially in terms of wages. I don't think any of our current crop will be heading south in the near future, apart from Muirhead who has a lot of good attributes. Doolan and Erskine have been good performers for us over the last few seasons. I'm sure they have been scouted manytimes but for whatever reasons have not moved on. This season we have some much improved performances. However it is not even half way through the season and some maybe reticent to take a chance on some of our higher earners? Players may move on, I just hope we have Jackie and Sid in place to sign even better replacements for the next two and a half seasons anyway
  3. My main concern is getting to sit with my mates in the singing section. Any idea if one part of the allocation will be stated seats and another, behind the goal maybe, will be open to who turns up first?
  4. Not any singing but an ever increasing number of Jags fans pre and post match. As stated, is good if you want to watch the saturday lunchtime or evening game.
  5. Aitken Suite hospitality sold out for the Ramsdens final. Great effort and will give the club some much needed extra revenue.
  6. They sell that top in Boca on Byres Road. Think there is a branch across from Central Station on Gordon Street. They had the Mechelen top from their Cup Winners Cup season a while back but haven't seen it lately.
  7. Indeed, the Spl even failed in their raison d'etre last season by posting a loss of over £1,000,000 For the good of Scottish football let us get rid at the earliest opportunity or even hasten their departure.
  8. Northy came across very well from the JHS on Saturday. Can't wait to get back. I'm not destined to be a fat cat, although I enjoyed hospitality for the day.
  9. Sounds a good idea. In the Northy an extra pair of hands would be better as the two lads can get over run at times. My mate has given up getting anything the last two home games due to the queue Was in hospitality on Saturday and was a decent experience with the staff helpful. Maxy was a good compere and David Beattie went around the tables and took time to chat. Paul Paton did a Q&A with Maxy and came across very well. Will be good to have him available again. He jinxed us a bit by saying Muirhead was our best player and that he would have to wait for his chance to get back in the side
  10. He was but did he not receive a million shares? I'm sure McMaster did anyway. They are Thistle fans and we have to move on with the new board. Maybe they will donate their shares if we can organise some level of fan representation on the board or even supporters takeover? Happy with the board at the moment. Mr. Beattie seems very enthusiastic for his role.
  11. We do have travel sickness but did manage to score in the Ramsdens semi at Central Park
  12. Not a direct Thistle miss but Smith saved a penalty against a young Ross Forbes for Hibs against Motherwell in that 6-6 draw a few seasons back. That ran through my mind when Forbes stepped up on Saturday
  13. Decent crowd, shite officials
  14. Not going to Northy tomorrow Hospitality instead Will still miss it, any singers amongst the fat cats
  15. Does that guarantee a Ramsdens final ticket Stu?
  16. Will McNamara start the same team tomorrow? Some players were a bit off form but they all put in a shift. Also Bannigan and Shug haven't had much game time recently so will benefit from a run in the team. Defence was solid, midfield took a bit of time to get on top but played some goodstuff again. Lawless had a quiet game but still got on the end of a couple of chances. He has played well against the Pars as well. Dools put in a shift and wasn't faraway on a couple of occassions. So basically I wouldn't disagree greatly with the same team starting tomorrow. Also hospitality package sold out last week, could this be an indicator of decent crowd? Hope so, as the previous game against Dumfermline has worked its way into my top five matches at Firhill Buzzing for this, C'mon Thistle. For we made a promise····
  17. Very tricky situation. Considering the nature of his crimes his masquerade as a PTFC employee is worrying. Especially with a lot of kids going to the games. I appreciate the named party has served his time. Indeed he has been on national TV since. This led to another situation arriving. He certainly seems to have a Walter Mitty persona and sounds like he needs psychogical help. Can he be banned? Don't know but did an opposition team this season, not have a player who was convicted of a similar crime to the named party's swimming pool perversions? Should he be banned? Hard to say as he has not committed a crime. I'm sure there must be plenty of things that fans at Firhill have done in the past that they regret or wish they hadn't done? We shouldn't let an individual cloud the good work that the club does for kids and young folk. I guess the bottom line is that the courts see fit to let him attend matches.
  18. Has there ever been a precedent for this? I know cup ties have been moved in the past to larger grounds. Not sure if there has been a straight switch of venue though. Same goes with swapping the fixtures around?
  19. Underbum seating could be an issue for this one. Luckily Hospitality has those nice padded seats Has anyone bought one of those hot-bott seat warmers yet? Maybe not such a crazy idea afterall
  20. Sounds a good deal. I'd be up for it but don't want to tempt fate. Good way to guarantee a seat as well as their capacity is 2000.
  21. Octobers wages just got paid, they'll be playing for a draw to try and pay some of Novembers C'mon Thistle!
