  1. I see despite the boardroom machinations, the club has renewed or added 3 new sponsors in recent days. Good to see the staff are continuing to work business as usual.
  2. Very pleased with that performance. Kept the lead until half-time, should probably have extended it. Played really well second half. Didn't go gung-ho but kept on the front foot where we could and reaped the rewards. We did to the Pars what Arbroath did to us last week. Made the opposition look bad through a mix of good play and endeavour and got the result. Dunfermline probably won't play that badly again for a while but they got schooled today. Credit to Dools for taking the young lads out of the firing line and Robbo and Ngwenya showed up pretty well. We can take confidence into the Inverness game but we need to be up to the task for 90 minutes again. Decent crowd overall and a good turnout from the visitors. It isn't half an up and down experience following Thistle.
  3. Okay, thanks mate. I've fired a few darts at the board.
  4. AHHH AHHA AHHA HA Woman's Scottish Cup round 1.
  5. Is that part of the comp or a separate thing mate?
  6. The only player that wasn't up to scratch was Harry Milne, and that was down to decision making rather than awful performance, imo.
  7. Here's some photos to cheer him up.
  8. Why were you e-mailing them? Maybe check your junk mail or give them a phone?
  9. Thought the substitutions were a lot more thought out yesterday. Early days, so no point getting carried away. Good to see some well thought out changes in line-up. We have to remember this is a crazy league and next week feels like a different scenario entirely. I'd love if we can get the three points again.
  10. Interesting that Ngwenya got the call over, Macdonald. Although seemed to be a defensive decision rather than expecting him to do much attacking.
  11. Like others I have had differing views about this competition. Last year I wasn't bothered, but in hindsight it raised the issues highlighted by PTD and others. We aren't likely to be winning any other cups, so should at least look to win our ties in this competition This can focus a team, I think Brian Clough cited winning the Watney Cup showed his team they could win competitions. Then there is the constant changing of competitors, competitors and sponsorship/ naming of the trophy. Shame we've not had a decent away game, I'd even take Elgin. I'd say taking it all into account, if its on the fixture list we should look to win it, with the best team available to the manager. So, TL:DR. A good draw and hopefully we can get through to the next round.
  12. That was the semi-final when we go to the final. AFK is highlighting our best finishes in this competition, 3 semi-finals and a final appearance.
  13. That is undoubtedly true. The question is, will they ever, until its too late?
  14. Only seems to have played left-back in his career. I'm not sure a left-footed player at right back would work.
  15. I don't get the plastic trope, but I'd hope we at least have McKenzie available if he tires and has to come off.
  16. McMillan played every game last season. Why would he not play because of an artificial pitch?
