  1. But is it only Mr McCrea who really counts?
  2. Sorry, could you run that by me again: How would refusing to fly the saltire at Firhill promote inclusivity?
  3. Thanks for the info. Can't stand The Herald, but will check the newsletter regularly!
  4. We've had a few decent results up there in "recent" years, though I vaguely remember that one was at least partly due to some weird referee or linesman decision. Anyway, as I said: we'll do them. (I may be posted missing for the next few days......)
  5. Sorry, but for me trying to navigate through "X" is like wading through the Devil's vomit. Ain't got time or inclination. (And one might ask: Why further enrich such an absolutely vile, repugnant egotist?)
  6. I've heard people from down south refer to "Wangers".
  7. Who'll start the Countdown to this weekend's game?
  8. Two excellent crosses and headers. Second one was a fine move after the ball was won back in defence.
  9. When I saw it again, I thought maybe on the line, not a definite penalty..... But neither of the the commentators even mentioned the blatant tug. Can't clearly remember any incident that might have been a stonewaller after that, other than a tackle that left a Thistle player crumpled on the ground. I'm sure at muttered "Oh. penalty!?" at the time, but just shrugged it off when it wasn't awarded.
  10. Nobody claimed, but I remember one of our guys (maybe Adeloye) running along just inside the 18-yard line trying to get in a shot (which he eventually did) but the defender grabbing and pulling him back by his jersey. Clear penalty, but because he got a (weak) shot in, the ref seemed to let it go. But maybe shirt pulling has finally been deemed legal, given that refs never seem to bother about it during corners, for example.
  11. Great work by three of our star players yesterday: Fitpatrick, Lawless, and McInroy. And not to forget the goal-line clearance (boot up the park) by Graham that started it off!
  12. Yes, Ngwenya was okay. I thought he backed out of a couple of winnable tackles and allowed their attackers to continue their move, but it might have been because it was on his wrong side. Adeloye looked a real handful for their defenders when he came on. Pretty sure he'll score a good few for us when he gets the chance. Edwards of Dunfermline is excellent.
  13. Agree about McInroy. I think he's going to be important for us. Great work rate, skill, and dig.
  14. Impressive, as always from TTA! Some frankly brutal (and understandable) defeats back in the first season, but the cumulative improvements are clear to see in subsequent seasons. Now we're disappointed if we're not in the top half of the top league!
  15. Interpreters drafted in for "Offside?" And before any howls of indignation start to appear: it would help me!
  16. Great tribute. I remember that Ferranti cup match on a Sunday. Seemed unreal.
  17. Doolan deciding the team: "Bannigan, Graham. Now, let me think about the rest......."
  18. Love it; thanks! Oh, but I see there's a rival explanation..........
  19. Well, I started the Lichties thread and it turned out to be a disastrous event. Looking for better fortune this time. Is there stlll a "Pars Bakery" in Gt. Western Road? What's the story behind that name? Anything other than a win will indicate that we are a middling team, with no real ambitions/prospects for either top place (Arabs scored winner in 93d minute with 10 men.... Aaaargh) or play-off place. Changes are needed from last week. Who could forget the spanking of Dunfermline 10 years ago (was it 5-0?) in yon "crucial" match? ETA: For long time I hated them, for putting us out of the Cup, and because we never seemed to win there. But now they are sh*te, and I've seen us win there a few times. All OK.
  20. Hmm, might it be because his teammate/companion/partner/bro got a more lucrative deal at another club?
  21. Wow, I'd like to see how that Reserve team from 30/1/65 would do as our first team in this current Championship! (Got to admit, I don't recall Norman.)
