So, can we look forward to 40 pages of adverts, 2 pages of squad updates 1 page of "memories," 1 page of "development", 1 page of " PTFC women," 1 page of "community," and 2 pages of colour photos? Can't wait!

Ideally, the new players and the established ones will gel quickly. It would be great if it happens fast (on Saturday, for example!), but if not, then we need to give them some slack until it all starts to come together. Let's remember that last season, things weren't all rosy throughout the season, until we managed to scrape into the play-offs.

Forty-eight pages??!! Why does it need to be so big? I'd rather pay for 12 pages of good quality content than for four times that number of pages filled with mostly junk. Hopefully it will feature "Firhill Chatter" and "Wee Jags Jottings."

Can anybody remember some kind of competitive match between Thistle and another team (Glasgow Uni?) that took place at Anniesland in the early 80s, when Benny Rooney was our manager?

Don't think I've ever seen us beat the tarts in a cup tie, but plenty of memories of them knocking us out. The outcome of this tie is unfortunately predictable.

Thistle kept possession well in the work up to that goal.

Yeah, but some people think that in the fraction of a second Sneddon had to stop it from being a goal he should have visually scanned the field and front of him, and realizing that no Thistle players were going to bother their arses to run in and clear the rebound, he should have magically angled the rebound away not just from MacIvor but any onrushing opponents. But he didn't do that, so he should be dropped for Mitchell, (whose numerous whoppers shall not be brought into the discussion).

That's just nonsense from start to end.

s I can't believe people are actually trying to blame Sneddon for the first goal. It was a fantastic no-alternative save from a shot that was otherwise a certain goal, deflected onto the crossbar. Do people really expect the goalkeeper not only to save but to master the angle at which the deflection off the crossbar is to be directed? No mention of the lack of Jags defenders moving in at speed enough to clear up after Sneddon's save? Why not? As I said, unbelievable scapegoating by some folk. And for the second, Sneddon got a hand to a fast moving shot, and could have stopped it with a bit of luck. Every f*ckin goal lost by any keeper, the keeper "could've done better." No criticism of defenders letting the guy get into position to launch that direct shot in the first place? Why not? Sneddon had an unbelievable save in the first half, and saved a penalty in the shoot out. No mention of those from those who prefer to criticize. By the way, that Falkirk winger, Agyemune or something like that, was terrific. How do teams like Falkirk, QP, Arbroath get guys like that, and we don't?

Anybody who endured the 24-h Save The Jags match at the Firhill Complex has his heart in the right place. I flew to Marseille the following morning on business, and people were asking me if I'd had an accident, because I could hardly walk normally for several days.

That would be quite nice, especially for somebody about whom I remember nothing; not even the name!

If somebody (truthfully) answers "yes," then that might be some kind of confirmation. If no "yes" answer comes, then darkness remains: Was there ever a Thistle supporters' bus that ran from Motherwell/Wishaw, in season 1970-71, when we were in the old 2nd Division? Lovely. I actually think that notices should be installed requesting spectators not to tread on the newly painted steps. Instead they are advised to climb over the seats to arrive at their desired destination.

I'd like to see the referee's justification for denying Thistle an absolute stonewall penalty, obvious to everybody on video, and his supervisor's response. And also why in his eagerness to award an extremely soft penalty to Ross County he neglected the fact that the Thistle player's posture was clearly influenced because he was being fouled at the time, also clearly visible on video. And again, what is the supervisor's response? Let them make that information public!
