  1. Attendance at the game is restricted to their academy players/parents and local schools, so hopefully(|) there will be little, if any, damage.
  2. Well, your response was both intellectually lazy and intellectually inadequate (you clearly did not bother to read simple english and recognise common punctuation marks properly). I was not attacking the poster, I was posing a question - to which I don't know the answer - which the poster is welcome to reply to.
  3. In my opinion, you have hijacked the intention of Saturday's display to highlight a different argument. The flags being displayed on Saturday were not "trans rights" flags. They were Progress Pride flags which are a variation on the original rainbow flags with added colours to include people of colour and transgender people. The clear intention of the display was to make it clear that all are welcome at Firhill. Perhaps you don't agree that trans people are welcome at Firhill? (I happen to agree with you that trans women should not be allowed in competitive women's sport)
  4. Are you JJ in disguise?🙂 Perhaps JJ's posts are now receiving the attention they deserved........
  5. This happened in the first half. There was a long ball launched towards Graham, and he basically made no attempt to head the ball, or shield the ball from the defender, and just meekly allowed the defender to get to the ball instead. Cue the guy sitting next to me who shouted - quite correctly - "Make an effort, Graham!". Graham then launched into a foul-mouthed outburst aimed at the area of the stand where we were sitting. Clearly stemming from frustration at his own poor form this season, but completely unjustified. Not befitting the captain of the club.
  6. Jags fan Alex Melrose submitted a Freedom of Information request to find out who made, and when, the decision to take the penalties at the Ross County end. This is the response he received. The grammar, typos etc are embarrassing in the Police response, but a precedent has clearly been established. The home team get to choose which end the penalties get taken - it just needs the home team safety officer to say so. With Neil Doncaster in attendance, can we ever expect anything else?
  7. Not so sure about that - it was known for the odd dribble every now and then........
  8. Auld Jag - watch out, they're coming after you!
  9. Hence the inspiration for Lindisfarnes's song "Fog on the Tine"!
  10. Any decent child psychologist will tell you not to reward bad behaviour. Allowing Neil Doncaster to present the League 1 trophy would have been to reward his bad behaviour.
  11. Kit Atkinson, 63. Born in Newcastle, family moved from Liverpool to Bishopbriggs when I was 4 years old. My friends and I did not have anyone to take us to the football and their dads came from Maryhill, so Firhill was the only choice. We had to wait until we were 14 years old to be able to go on our own (that means 1972, missed the cup final dammit!). Still remember getting lifted over occasionally at 14 years old! Frank Coulston was one of my PE teachers at Bishopbriggs High School for three years before he left to go to Denny High School (for others who went to Bishopbriggs High School, "Jumping Jimmy" was the other PE teacher!). Spoke to Frank at the 40th Cup Final Anniversary celebrations at Hampden, and he still remembered me - I was heavily involved in sports at high school. Fate brought my wife and I together, as it turned out she was also a Thistle fan. We have both been volunteering at the club for 21 years now, initially selling programmes and 50/50s then looking after the ballboys and ballgirls. My wife Fiona is also the club's Child Wellbeing and Protection Officer.
  12. This is a great story....had me chuckling! https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/mar/11/the-unlikely-story-of-how-dundee-united-became-an-insult-in-nigeria?utm_source=pocket-newtab-global-en-GB
  13. I hope that the next time Neil Doncaster* visits Firhill, the stewards accompany him to his reserved seat - in the middle of the John Lambie Stand! * not that the cowardly snake would be brave enough to come anywhere near Firhill
  14. I pinched this picture from the Hearts Kickback forum because it made me laugh, and we can always do with a laugh. It was posted in response to the Dundee United statement (which is proof of parallel universes, as clearly "sporting integrity" has a completely different meaning in their's) looking to round up cash from other clubs and supporters:
  15. I'm assuming the SFA Compliance Officer will now be investigating Dundee United, Raith Rovers and Cove Rangers for taking to the courts without going through the SPFL first?
