Partick Thistle v Morton 14th November

I think Andy Mac knows that. He's said that other posters are JLow. Unless he thinks JLow has multiple accounts, which I suppose is possible. McO can't be JLow. She can spell properly. Turned me off Scally, though. -
Yes, but look the donations, with only a "minor " donation from FoH. The mystery benefactors seem to have been busy!

What if they shut down the season?

I can't but agree that being rude won't get Doncaster anywhere, AJ. He has history here. His reaction after the tribunal Hearing was outrageous. I'll follow the rugby request with interest. As a previous poster said, the SRU may be flying a kite, but we'll see next week. -

The SRU are talking about Murrayfield, LIB. All football clubs, theatres, etc should have safe entry/exit strategies in place by now, so hopefully if crowds were to return, tender footsteps will grow to our normal footfall before long. Still a way to go before then, with the disease incidence as it currently stands in the W of S. -

On the "Cruise critic " website (P&O thread), a number of health care workers in England have said that they have appointments for Tuesday 1st December for their 1st Covid vaccination . 2nd following 2 weeks later. If this is true, at least one vaccine is due to be approved tomorrow or Monday. -

On 23/09/20 the Joint Response Group met Fitzpatrick and the SG were to contact the UK government seeking additional funding for Scottish sport. It looks like the UK government has said to Fitzpatrick to look to the £20 billion ? given to the SG for Covid costs to find the cash needed. But the UK government has increased funding for sport in England, and refused to increase funding elsewhere. We are stuck in the middle of this, and an earlier promise by the SG has disappeared into the ether! The SPFL even set up a news conference to announce the funding, only for the conference not to take place! Since then - zilch. -

Scottish Rugby Union looking to get crowds of 1,000 in January, building to crowds of 20,000 for the 5 Nations games. Meeting Fitzpatrick this week. If this gets the go ahead, football supporters are being treated as 2nd class citizens. If that happens, the SFA/SPFL need to seek a judicial review of the decision. On this occasion, I think Scottish football is right to contest the way we are being treated. The SG needs to get it's head round the fact that very few football fans are hooligans in this day and age. We were supposed to get funding earlier this year, but the payday came and went. UK government have rejected the Barnett sum due as a result of their £20 million payment to National League clubs. Said the SG got sufficient funds to deal in Coid issues in Scotland. I'm speechless at their audacity. -

Glasgow Cup Tie - Tuesday Evening
East Kent Jag II replied to Fawlty Towers's topic in Main Jags forum
The only clubs Celtic loaned players to this season were those who were in favour of the season finishing early. Dundee; Ross Co; Cove Rangers; Dunfermline; Queens Park . Doubt they'd come near us with a barge pole. -
Yes - £1.3 M loss if turnover had remained the same. 68% wage to turnover ratio seems high to me, so the £500,000 increase in wages is not only high, but if the wage bill had remained the same, they would still have made a loss of £800,000.

Who Are The Jags Players In This Photo?
East Kent Jag II replied to Jaggernaut's topic in Main Jags forum
If this incident was in a game today; 1 - Neil's current day equivalent would catch the defender's leg, & fall over. 2 - the ref would give a penalty. 3-the ref would send the defender off for a two footed challenge, the tackle from behind, and for being last man .(Only one penalty, unfortunately). 4. Banzo would blast the penalty against the post. (Albeit he didn't do that against Morton on Saturday. -

You're correct, LJ. Perhaps I'm pushing it a bit, but O'Ware signed a new contract in January this year, and is a Jag till 2022. -

Tam O'Ware ankle bone growth at Morton. Zak Rudden was also injured before joining us. Ciaran McKenna had a knee injury at Hamilton. I seem to recollect Blair Spittal was injured also. -

For me, the one gamble that's failed this year is taking on a lot of potentially skillful players prone to or recovering from injury. It may be as was posted earlier that players wouldn't come to the club in this division, but I'm not in a position to know how true that is. Either way, it hasn't worked. -

I accept that either Raith or Falkirk would have been a difficult task, if we had finished in 9th. We didn't get that opportunity, and to come back to this season, only a PremierLeague side beat us in the League Cup. We've had the difficult teams at the start of the league games, albeit with duff results. Too early to go for the manager, & where's the cash to sack him? -

We did beat them. December 19, 2-1 at Palmerston. & we had to play them there again. Both clubs with no league wins in 20. But they had played a game more than us, & had Dundee Utd & Dundee to play. We can only guess what would have happened, but we did seem to have a less taxing run in. My point was that to complain about non qualification from the Betfred Cup didn't take our enforced lowly position into account, a bias McCall opponents don't seem to recognise.
