Surprised at this. Thought you couldn't sign a player on loan twice in one season (but you can extend a loan before it expires).

Have heard that two players coming from Ibrox. BUT not Hutton!! Apparently Cole and Naismith(obviously not THEE Naismith)

Was of same opinion re. the Hutton loan. Naismith, at present on loan at Cowdenbeath, might be a good shout - a tall mobile striker. As to Cole, can't trace anyone of that name in the player lists on Gers website -unless he's in the under 17 squad (surely not?) Given the needs of our squad, a midfielder would be the obvious target. Maybe the Hutton rumour is true

It will be Darren Cole, Scotland Under 21 international and made his debut against Bursaspor in last seasons Champions League. Pretty sure he is a right back.

Darren Cole is indeed a right-back. Do we need him in addition to Paton and O'Donnell? Surely a direct replacement for Hutton is the priority.

Hutton was an "emergency" loan, which is limited to 93(?) days and can take place outside of a transfer window. The limit on a conventional loan is that if it takes place inside the transfer window and lasts only 6 months it cannot be repeated at the next transfer window to cover the rest of the season. Hence last season we had Conrad Balatoni on loan up to Christmas and could only extend the loan a further 93 days. I reckon Hutton could technically come back, but it would have to be a transfer-window-long loan which would preclude Rangers from recalling him without notice outside of the window.

Would be amazed if this was true, I'd seriously question McCoist's judgement persisting with the some of the dross at his disposal and ignoring potential of Hutton.

Obviously hoping it's true, would be delighted to have Hutton back, but I am sceptical that a: Rangers want to let him go at all, and b: if they do, would they not rather he played Championship/League 1 than come to our league again.
