Dumbarton statement - http://www.dumbarton...de=view&id=4040

"After listening carefully to supporters and stakeholders, considering the available evidence, and taking an active part in recent detailed negotiations, the Board felt with the 24 other clubs who voted the same way that the Third Division option was the best one in the circumstances."

Their supporters and stakeholders recommended a "Yes" vote. Listening to the fans, eh?

Humble pie?!?

SFA CHIEF EXECUTIVE STEWART REGAN

"In light of today's decision by the members of the Scottish Football League, the Scottish FA is committed to leading the challenge to reinvigorate the national game.

"This challenge requires the collective effort not just of the Scottish FA but the respective league organisations and all member clubs.

"Today is a watershed for Scottish football. There will, undoubtedly, be financial consequences on the horizon. None the less, with togetherness, an open mind, and innovative thinking, there can also be opportunity: opportunity to restructure the game and promote competitiveness, to place greater emphasis on development of young Scottish talent and to support the financial sustainability of clubs through the Financial Fair Play model.

"The Scottish FA has offered guidance and support to the respective league bodies during this process. The SPL and SFL enter a crucial phase ahead of the new season and they must reach agreement on the practical issues that require to be addressed within their jurisdictions.

"Ultimately, there must be an outcome that enables Scottish football to move on with consensus, clarity and confidence into a new era for the national game."

W'IT!!!??

Don't believe a word he says. Regan is a big part of the problem, not the solution.

Trust him, and scottish football club supporters across the country will not end up with the outcome they want or the sport needs.

Talking 'bout that in the pub. They might want to take the embargo rather than risk suspension or a lengthy cup exclusion. They should with a few added youngsters have plenty to get out the league.

Unless sanctions were included in today's "deal", any more would be difficult to impose. But the SFA has yet to approve Sevco's licence application. Regan was reported to have said that it would not be approved if Sevco was dumped in SFL3...

I might be a conspiracy theorist, but this is all part of the plan. Sevco do not meet the entry criteria for SFL at all, so Div 3 is still a result from them. SPL, Div 1 I believe was all a smokescreen. Aim high, annoy everyone and they will accept Div 3. This result is still in breech of the rules of the SFL, but everyone is rejoicing so much they do not care. So does a Newco with no accounts no players no guarantee of completing a season seem a better solution than Spartans or Cove Rangers?

We have all been conned!

More Agent Orange than Bond.

"The Scottish Football Association will consider what, if any, punishments to impose on Rangers before granting membership to the new company...

"But talks will take place next week to resolve outstanding issues such as prior penalties imposed by the SFA.

"The SFA had issued Rangers with a transfer embargo and a £100,000 fine for "bringing the game into disrepute".

""The new Rangers company will be involved in the discussions with the governing body."
