general george
Who cares, Matt? I want to know the way our club voted. Today's Daily Record tells you how our club voted. They were one the five to vote for Rangers to be parachuted into SFL1.

That article is wrong though. Brechin didn't vote for Division 1.
Dark Passenger
I'll let the club confirm, thanks.
Craig-W
Of course all these rumours and suppositions were so obviously inevitable from the moment it was decided to have a secret ballot. How utterly foolish that was in the first place.
MWM
SFL 1 Cowdenbeath - No Dumbarton - No Dundee - ? Dunfermline - No Morton - No Falkirk - ? Hamilton - Yes Livingston - No Partick Thistle - ? Raith Rovers - No SFL2 Albion Rovers - No Alloa - No Arbroath - No Airdrie - No Ayr - No Brechin - No East Fife - No Forfar - ? QotS - Yes Stenny - No SFL 3 Annan - No Berwick - No Clyde - No East Stirlingshire - No Elgin City - No Montrose - ? Peterhead - No Queen's Park - ? Stranraer - No We can choose from six teams for the remaining three. I can't see Queen's Park, a club with strong amateur principles voting against sporting integrity so we are left with five, and sadly we are one. lady-isobel-barnett
On that list there's a few clubs no votes from clubs that previously had hinted at a yes vote. Berwick, Dumbarton & Stenny. Are they to be trusted?
MWM
Em, yes. Look at their websites.

MWM
Cowdenbeath fans meeting - Club stated they would vote no Morton - Outside of Turnbull Hutton and Clyde, Rae has been as loud as anyone in media. Articles on both Morton website and BBC on how they would vote East Fife and Elgin have articles on their website stating a no vote.
MWM
I did and I couldn't see anything. Are you blind? The first article on each of those three club's sites concerns newco. And even more so, they were clubs who were original yes votes and have since changed their positions which obviously needs clarification. Why would East Fife for example who stated on 2nd July they are a "unanimous no" need to confirm that? Edited July 14, 2012 by MWM
alamo
So now a 60% chance that we have voted yes. Man i feel sick
lennythistle
MWM - Jags stated prior to vote we would say NO to current proposal. Maybe, they feel they don't need to reconfirm that either. In my view given last nights statement that would be wrong, but may be that is their stance. Falkirk and Morton did also say how they would vote. You seem to be trusting them that they did as they said they would but not trusting Jags!
MWM
Did they? http://www.ptfc.co.uk/news/2012-2013/july_2012/statement_from_partick_thistle Tell me in this statement where it says we were going to vote no? If anything we advocate a vote for Rangers on the provision we are given the proposals offered up to shoehorn them in. The previous two statements to that are as clear as mud too. Last night's statement mentioned what the outcome of the vote was. Not how we used our vote while every other club who gave an account of what happened, save for Forfar also told how the used their vote. Raith Rovers haven't put a statement up on their website yet. I take it they voted yes?

Bearing in mind the financial repercussions it may have.

The Elgin site has a statement that is similar to Thistle's but no confirmation of No vote. Again link please.
MWM
Statement from the Board of Elgin City Football Club Written by Administrator Thursday, 12 July 2012 11:54 The Directors of Elgin City Football Club have continued to discuss the present crisis facing Scottish Football and have carefully weighed up all the possible scenarios and their outcomes both for Scottish Football and Elgin City FC as a viable club. The club have reached the decision that it cannot support the proposal for Rangers Newco to be directly admitted to Division 1 but will support entry to SFL Division 3 in season 2012 / 2013. The Board thanks the supporters and other interested parties who took time to express their views to the Club during this testing time for the future of our game. Dark Passenger
Let's put it this way, the doubt probably wouldn't exist if Beattie hadn't acted as a cheerleader for Sevco in SFL1/SPL2. This mess, and I'm talking about customer dissatisfaction here, is entirely his doing.

The Board thanks the supporters and other interested parties who took time to express their views to the Club during this testing time for the future of our game. So going by that Thistle also voted no- A Thistle statement read: "Unquestionably there are major financial consequences, for all clubs in Scotland, should a newco Rangers club not take a place in next season's SPL and there has been a proposal put in front of the SFL clubs that would allow Rangers direct entry into SFL1, contrary to the current league rules. "On its own this proposal is clearly unacceptable, on a number of levels, and is something the board of PTFC are not prepared to support. McKennan
"cannot support...will support" "on its own..." That's, to me, is saying that the club has a price. Would have been much better - though far less popular - to have said 'we're weighing up the financial consequences, this could mean money for the club, you may not like it in the short term but we're skint so please, just for a season, let it go.' Trotter
If PTFC voted 'no', now is the time to come out & say. A national newspaper has come out and suggested they voted 'yes'. Now with threats of boycotts etc from opposing fans as well as some of our fans not buying ST etc until it is clarified, surely the BoD should be putting the record straight? We would not be the first club to break ranks over how they voted. There are no excuses left for them not come out & tell us. Continued silence & we're left to assume the newspaper report is correct. David Stevenson
How about this scenario.... Beattie got confused when filling in the balllot slips and put NO to question 1 and YES to question 2, realised too late and felt like a diddy. Didn't want to admit it, but didn't want to lie either.... Hence the ambiguous club statement, the quote in the Record and the fact that the club that cast the single NO vote for question 1 hasn't been identified..... Lenziejag
I don't think the default position on a newspaper story should ever be it is truth The national newspaper also said Brechin voted yes - but they have stated on their website that they voted no. It seems you are prepared to believe other clubs but not your own
