However MBA from the London Business School has a great reputation all over the world. I have a question. That is about the "London School of Business and Management". It seems that this school has some connections with Birckbeck, University of London. Nonetheless this school is a private institution of higher education. Before knowing about this school, I was thinking that the University of Buckingham is the only private higher education institution. But there is another one. Mr Scruff Posted September 7, 2012 Report Share Posted September 7, 2012 I explain the points I disagree with the World Archery Federation. Archery is a "point sport". By "point sport" I mean the sports like Shooting, in which players try to score the possible highest scores without fighting or disturbing other players. Shooting, an Olympic game, is done in a very fair way. However, Archery is not. Under the current rules of the World Archery Federation, the qualification round is done in a fair way, but the final round is done in the knock-down system! The knock-down system is appropriate for combative sports, like martial arts and ball games, but totally inappropriate and unfair for point sports. If the World Archery Federation do not change the rules which is fair like Shooting, the International Olympic Committee must expel the World Archery Federation. Can't agree - I thought the rules the WAF came up with made it a more compelling sport. The 'sets' system enabled an archer to have one bad shot, but still perform will enough to win. And being an outside sport with variable conditions, scoring could change for different pairs (eg a poor score at 1300 could be a good score at 1345 because of wind/ rain). Contrary to you I thought the WAF were to be congratulated, and football could do worse than consider how to retain the essence of the sport, but increase spectacle and fair competition (not something that's ever likely to happen). Deaf athletes do not compete in the Paralympics, they have the Deaflympics and I think also the Special Olympics. The organisation responsible for the Deaflympics wanted to merge into the Paralympics however deaf sport was already fairly advanced, and the Paralympic Organisation decided the logistics of adding a number of events and facilities for the large number of deaf athletes would be too difficult. If deaf sport hadn't been so advanced, and fewer athletes competing, it would have been easier for deaf athletes/competition to integrate into the Paralympics.
