twinny
Today's Glaswegian article mentions at the bottom we are due to announce a new kit sponsor. It's a bit early to be announcing this for next season isn't it? Or are we adding sponsors to other parts of the shirt/shorts?
kni
The timing is odd. Is MacB committed for the whole of this season? Other related issues are the end of the deal with Greaves, i.e. a new retail partner, and our future relationship Puma. It would be good if the club is able to provide some news on them too. G SUS
I don't think it'll be a "main" kit sponsor, maybe another sponsor put on the back of the shirts etc. The top of the league form is generating more press coverage and may have other companies significantly interested in being affiliated with us. Ozieptfc
I'm pretty sure its the kit supplier Puma were ditching guys!

We already have MacB on the front, Pointer on the back and Braehead Arena on the shorts. I suppose there is still space underneath the number on the shirt but we'll be looking like a South American team in no time. How about socks, can we put a sponsor on them? Lin1876
I suspect they mean the new strip supplier to replace Puma next season. That's been mentioned in the last couple of programmes so now seems the right kind of time.

Very true, would imagine that some companies would want to get their foot in the door knowing full well that we could be an SPL club next season. broomhilljagsfan
I'm pretty sure its the kit supplier Puma were ditching guys! I hope not - I have really liked the Puma kits, and also good to have one of the big manufacturers doing our kit. Admitedly problems this year but they seemed to have been caused by Greaves not Puma

Very true, would imagine that some companies would want to get their foot in the door knowing full well that we could be an SPL club next season. But would they want to commit now with the Greaves deal ending? A lucrative deal would be linked to wider retail distribution than the club shop. scottymagoo
Who do you think it’ll be? Bukta? Admiral? Matchwinner?
Lambies Lost Doo
Please one of the big boys. I think Puma strips are great and the first few years the extra gear was brilliant.
kni
Who do you think it’ll be? Bukta? Admiral? Matchwinner? Le Coq Sportif? Seriously, I hope that we can attract a big name like Adidas or Nike.
scottymagoo
Yeah, Adidas or Nike would be great. Really like what Nike have done with the Old Firm tops, minimising the size of the main sponsorship, and I thought the Adidas away kit Livi wore at Firhill a few weeks ago was very professional looking. twinny
Yeah probably right, it is worded as kit sponsor rather than shirt/shorts sponsor. I've liked all the Puma shirts, so it'll be sad to see the end of the partnership. I'd like it to be Adidas as they tend to make pretty nice strips, but I think we'd be guaranteed off the shelf efforts rather than custom made ones like we've mainly had the past five years. kni
If we can get a big name supplier, big retailers like JD Sports could sell our strips and leisurewear. JD sells St Mirren's Diadora kit so why not us?

Joma's prices are cheaper - http://www.teamwears...22-st-johnstone and http://www.teamwearscotland.com/-dunfermline-fc/312-dunfermline-ath-fc-home-shirt-.html However, I would not want a strip like this one - http://www.teamwears...way-shirt-.html Edited December 5, 2012 by kni

If the club are running the shop/merchandise themselves this might be something we have to accept.
Santana
I hope we don't get Nike/Adidas because it will just be a boring template that you can buy off ProDirectSoccer. I hope to **** it's not Joma and that we get TFG.

RodMcDonaldJag
Diadora offer distinctive one off strips I wouldnt mind going back to Diadora. Delighted if we get rid of Puma - I think their gear has been shocking in both look and quality.
Jaggernaut
Personally, I'd go for Toffs.
