badgerbadgerbadger
Check out the Clyde FC website for the news of their new club captain - he'll probably play out of his skin on Saturday.
twinny
Can't believe a wee f**** like that could be any team captain, the team must be full of neds.
jags365
I am confident he will be no trouble at all to big (wee) Paddy.
GrantB
What an example to young kids to have a wife beating wee buckfast ned as your captain. I'd love to see Rowson snap him in two on Saturday. It would almost be worth coming back from France early to see.

Paulo
Why should we be giving the Clyde site more traffic? Someone post the name...I'm not, in case I burst into flames.

King Kenny
Saw him up at Thorn Park in Bearsden a few months back watching an amateur game whilst drinking a bottle of Buckfast on a Tuesday night! Good to see he'll be leading by example!

kni
I am very surprised by this appointment. An experienced player like Neil McGowan would have been a much better choice.

twinny
Wasn't Alan Lithgow their captain the last season or two? Clyde = Jail bird XI?

Miners Pants
Another slate adam strachan thread from the perfect partick thistle preachers society! Hope he can ressurrect his career..as to the drinking buckfast in the park...so what... i suppose if he was drinking Bollinger from a glass beside a picnic hamper that would have been fine.. King Kenny
I wasn't meaning my point about him drinking the buckfast to be a "class" dig. More of a point that it's not exactly the sort of behaviour you would expect from a professional footballer, even more so a captain.

I'm generally all for giving people second, even third chances, but when he takes those and proceeds to stick the nut in his burd, I think you can understand us calling him a ned and slagging him off. Imo a 23 year old professional footballer seen drinking Buckfast in a public park is worthy of comment regardless of his past or who he is. Also I doubt if resurrect is the right word. That implies getting his career back to what it once was. I don't remember a time when Adam's career hasn't been off the rails. Btw it's sadly ironic that we're desperate for a wide midfielder, with a bit of pace, that can take on a defender and switch wings with relative ease. Miners Pants
Had it hard by all accounts..not any way an excuse for his loutish behaviour...hope he finds happiness and sucess in his life...you know what i think we should resign him...any bets he rips our slow aging defence a new ronson on Saturday!
