JeanieD
Today is 20 years on from the hammering of the now defunct then champions Glasgow Rangers fc 3-0 Farningham Tierney and Britton. A great night and in some ways a pity that the rancid opposition no longer exists as the victory is now confined to a happy but now historical event which we canot ever repeat.
Rid Skwerr
John Brown, John Brown, what's the score? Great days, but not as good as now!
Lenziejag
It wasn't just that we beat them that night, but also it secured our place in the top league for another season.
potty trained
I was 16, turning 17 and after a couple of years working my way round, it was my first game right in the middle of the shed. Probably about 10 yards from the fence. What an atmosphere, what a night.
allyo
When Gerry scored I remember running all he way down the steps to the bottom of the shed, and then all the way back. Policeman wasn't happy with me. Probably a h*n.
Mr Bunny
I was noted up to that game as being a rather "quiet" supporter who was neither up nor down and tried to just enjoy the football. Mates I was with were a bit shocked (but laughing their heads off too) to see me go absolutely mental at that game. I think it was because it was the early years of the super-arrogant Murray Rangers and I was starting to really despise them. To see us not just beat but really BEAT them well just made me go bananas.
thistledave78
I was only 14 and couldnt afford to go to a midweek and weekend game. Guess whst game I chose to give a miss?! Was gutted after I heard the result. To make matters worse we then got beat when I went along to the sat match!!
The Sunnylaw Jag
Yeah I remember it well, not only the game but the days and weeks after as I played the video over and over again, pausing it and trying to explain to the wife why it was so hilarious that Gerry walked it round the keeper rather than blasted it in i.e. it was more gallus that way.
