Stewarty
How Butcher stayed on the field is a mystery.

Dug1e
think it is a bit utd biased. we controlled the game for the most part.( apart from10 mins first half and about the same at the start of the second) but most of the highlights are Utd Edited August 3, 2013 by Dug1e
P-R
Should have had 2 penalties Sinclair being bundled over in the first half at one of the corners. The second one is so clear cut Thompson has a perfect view, didn't realise it was 2 footed at the time as well but it was such a blatant hand ball. Would like to have seen the one with Baird near the end as well, thought he was given a push.
GrantB
Paton is an utter tool. His antics after Christie's tackle on him were cringeworthy.
Jaggyman
How can the so called top ref in Scotland miss 2 glaring two footed tackles right in front of him. Both were straight reds never mind yellows. 2 stonewall penalties in the highlights and they didn't show the shove on baird right at the end woudve liked to have seen that again. Both keepers were fantastic in what was a very decent 0-0 draw. As far as refs and jags v Dundee utd games go craig Thomson is the new les mottram
The Sunnylaw Jag
The good thing about the highlights was how quickly they were available. It will be interesting to see if it's the same for a non televised game.
Jaggernaut
Good to see three sides of Firhill pretty well populated! Shame about the bing, though.
gerrybritton9
Any sign of a recording of the full match going online? I'd love to watch it again
brick_top
A few posters on here yesterday saying how they were glad that Thomson was going to be the ref. Wonder how they feel now? The guy is an utter tool, always bricks it from giving big decisions against so called bigger clubs. That is as much of a red card as you'll see this season, and it's 5 yards away from him. The second one he also has a perfect view of, yet with 2 feet off the ground he decides it's not even a foul? Again with a perfect view of it. I repeat..........utter tool. Lambies Lost Doo
Enjoyed those highlights. Second challenge definitely a penalty. He dived in. With 2 feet. And the shot his arm.
The Sunnylaw Jag
BBC Highlights are slightly different and give a closer view of the penalty claims (should have had at least one) as well as some of the bad tackles.
stillresigned
I would have liked to have seen if Thompson's decisions would have been similar were United's opponents were for arguments sake lets say Celtic? I think not!
Exiled AusJag
Just watched the video. and I'm surprised at the (non) decisions by the ref. To quote from the laws. Any player who lunges at an opponent in challenging for the ball from the front, from the side or from behind using one or both legs, with excessive force and endangering the safety of an opponent is guilty of serious foul play. I'd like to see where Butcher DIDN"T do the above. This is failure to enforce the laws! Also a definate penalty for the push in the first half and Butcher's two footed lunge in the second. How he got away with NO card baffles me! Edited August 3, 2013 by Exiled AusJag
