The Next Two Games

On paper the next two games, ICT and t ims, are the hardest so far this season. Two defeats and our overall performance in the first quarter will start to look pretty weak, in spite of the praise for the nice football. Can we win either of these games? Settle for two draws? One draw?

What's a realistic hope?

Was discussing the upcoming fixtures with my old man when leaving Firhill last week and we both agreed that despite them being tough games, it would be very "Thistle" to go and beat Inverness.

If we can keep Billy McKay quiet, which appears to be easier said than done, I'd be quietly confident of a point on Sunday. There's no pressure on us for the Celtic game so we can play our game and see what happens. Folk will look to the recent Aberdeen game and fear the worst but we were handicapped in that game by a completely unprepared Gabriel who can take the majority of responsibility for all three goals. We'll need to play a lot better as a team but with Conrad back for that game hopefully, we'll be a bit tighter and can perhaps nick a point.

Optimistic - four points. Pessimistic - no points. Realistic - two points.
