  1. MANY thanks everyone. Friends and family know to avoid the score all day then around 2pm on Sunday, I pour myself a generous gin and tonic and watch the Jags 'live' on jagzone. I WILL be back because I do miss the banter. Thanks again for all your good wishes ..

  2. I think Fitzpatrick is a class apart. Has way more natural talent than Tiffoney. Unfair to expect a player like that to shine every game though. It's peaks and troughs at this level.

  3. I outrank you by a few years having first attended estadio firhill in 1956. I am currently receiving treatment for cancer so I might never manage along again. But supporting thistle over the decades has been one of the great joys of my life. Like The Beatles, a nice Shiraz, playing in the snow with my weans and more recently grandweans. I have loved being a Jag and being surrounded by fellow jags at firhill. We might not have the best team in our history at the present time but, by god, they're MY team and I'm mighty proud of them...

  4. Most of post-United match updates now in place at the Archive, including the first 'Scrapbook' tab on a match hub for a number of years. Like Lawless and Graham we're on a bit of a run in terms of Video Highlights, now 101-in-a-row, almost 2 years-not-out! There are three video productions to savour (so far) this week. Don't miss 'The Story of the Match' video from DUTV, it's absolutely stunning... Thistle 1 United 1 → CONSISTENT LAWLESS & GRAHAM ● Referee Matthew MacDermid (who refused to send off either of Docherty or Moult for dirty play) takes charge of just his 4th Thistle match, yet 3 of them have been versus Dundee United this season. ● Steven Lawless reaches 54-not-out in competitive action, a new personal best, and the longest run of any Thistle player in the last 5 years. ● Brian Graham scores after 115 secs, but it's only his second-quickest goal as a Jag, having netted in 73 secs against Ayr United in September 2023. ● Brian Graham's goal means that he has now scored in a 14th consecutive month for Thistle in competitive action, extending his unique club-record. ● For the first time, Brian Graham scores in a 4th consecutive game for Thistle, albeit he matched this on a personal level in July 2021 (having missed a game in-between). The club-record (8) lies with Scott McLean, set in November 2000. ● 51-goal Partick Thistle remain top scorers in the League and 15-goal Brian Graham once again moves to outright top scorer in the Championship. ● Thistle go 6 competitive games without a win, the longest winless run under Kris Doolan. ongoing sequences: ● 54 consecutive competitive appearances for Steven Lawless, 18th Feb 2023 to date, a new personal best. (Longest run since: Blair Spittal - 57 games, 31st Mar 2018 to 4th May 2019. Club-record: Johnny Jackson - 313 games, 28th Aug 1926 to 25th Mar 1933.)

  5. We have statistics for "Expected Goals", which I never understand, but does anyone produce statistics for XJH or "Expected Jumping Height"? Surely Scott Robinson must exceed every XJH metric with his spring-heeled leaps?!

  6. There are too many cases of VAR decisions that cannot be simply be classified as mistakes, and so the motives behind those decisions need to be questioned. We've already suffered such a case (Dingwall), and for another, look at the decision to award a penalty yesterday at Ibrox. (Guess which team got the penalty!)

  7. Seems to me that Fitzpatrick has improved his defensive game by a margin (1st goal v Fake Thistle apart). I like what Doolan has done with this player - he's got him enjoying playing football again, something that McCall manifestly failed to do last season. He wants the ball now and seems much more willing to dig for it too in defensive areas of the field. And when Aidan puts the afterburners on - he's our very own Duhan van der Merwe.

  8. Strangely I thought that the referee was quite good today and let the game flow. He did not give a foul every time a player fell over, like most referees tend to do.

  9. Just back and that was far, far better today. Every player looked like they wanted to be there and wanted to win. Mitchell was excellent. Robbo MOM for me. McBeth and Williams put in some shift. Fitzy looked like he wanted to be somewhere else.
