  1. Trying to put a positive spin….maybe Tiff could use the extra rest to recover from whatever knock kept him out of our last game.
  2. These problems all go away if we can agree to a system of communicative grunts like the Rangers message boards.
  3. For the offside, does it not matter that the last defender was playing behind the keeper?
  4. I don’t think so either. Pretty sure Raith had a player fallen down along the goal line that the linesman missed.
  5. Haven’t read the proposal yet but wanted to note the site appears to be sending unencrypted traffic over http (as opposed to https). So maybe don’t send personal info if ever prompted because it will be sent as plain text.
  6. Camallain, do you have a PayPal or something where I could throw some cash your way? I missed these last 2 goals due to the streaming issues but sure enough you caught them.
  7. So did any TJF reps meet up with any PTFC Trust reps and discuss business? Perhaps over a livestream? (And by that, I mean a chat at the urinal)
  8. Is the streaming no longer working? Just died over here a little bit ago.
  9. I am so very confused now. In the words of Adrian Edmondson, “Oh god, I’ve got to stop sniffing this Ajax.”
  10. Well this thread sure deviated from my original intent, but…..<looks over at linesman>…..play on, says the ref! Travis’ “Driftwood” seems apt for the situation…. You’re driftwood floating underwater, breaking into pieces, pieces, pieces. Just driftwood, hollow and with no use…. And you really didn’t think it would happen, but it really is the end of the line. So I’m sorry that you turned to driftwood, but you’ve been drifting for a long long time.
  11. Do what they do - start sending random Twitter DMs!
  12. TJF folks, any updates on opening communication with PTFC Trust? Dare you invite them to the Sept 1 meeting?
  13. Another puzzling thing is that, as I recall, 3BC mentioned one reason for “fan ownership” is to ensure the club isn’t sold out from under our feet. How can they even say that with this neutered version of ownership they are peddling? If Ken Bates, Laurence Bassini, or some other suspect buyer came in and the club board wanted to go ahead with it, what more could the PTFC Trust do but “strongly urge them not to”? Under this version of ownership, the club is “ours” in the same way my daughter’s tablet is “hers” - she can use it, but I tell her how and how often. And she can complain all she wants if I take it away, but in the end what I say goes.
  14. Now I’m wondering if I missed a trick by not putting my name forth as preferred recipient, with my governance drawn up on the back of a napkin reading “Tell me what you want us to do and we’ll do it.” Lets face it, it’s all trending toward American ownership anyway! For real though, one comment for TJF would be in regards to earlier Twitter posts unearthed by….MarciaBlaine maybe?….where Colin, via TBC, mentioned the Well Society model. This vision seems very different from the one being presented. Why?
  15. Do the match day announcers ever play music from local, unsigned bands? If not, might be a neat thing to do. And to release the match day playlist on Spotify or something so anyone in attendance could explore it more. On a smaller level, seems like a cool thing to do. On a grander level, never know when you might be the club that helped out a future superstar. And I doubt it would really cost a thing except time.
  16. Side note - BBC would be looking at any interesting angles for their programming. If a TJF representative had a contact there and wanted to put a bug in their ear about what the banner means and why people are chanting as such, you might get the commentators to give an on-air mention. It might not even take a contact - just getting to the right programming coordinators or something.
  17. “Show, don’t tell.” If you’re on TV, a visual is a must. I don’t have the same PR experience as Jacqui, but my university degree is in PR and the importance of visuals is paramount. Not saying chants aren’t powerful, but they’re supplemental.
  18. How was the turnout today? Didn’t see how many we brought to Ochilview.
  19. Not likely? Their streaming site says they are unlikely to stream any matches this year due to the Sky block. It’s also the only game this week that my online Sportsbook isn’t offering a stream for.
  20. I think we will be surprised that the mystery winning group is not a previously known or established entity…… …….….…and they only understand Gaelic.
  21. Was it ever stated whether Colin Weir left any kind of ring-fenced “emergency fund” to cover any club money shortfalls? And if Low was ousted or simply no longer involved, whether would we no longer have that available?
  22. So frustrating, all of this. It seems clear that 3BC’s (and supposedly, by proxy, Colin Weir’s) vision of fan ownership was considerably watered down from the get-go, at least in comparison to publicly known domestic fan ownership schemes. Sincere thanks to the TJF boards for their time spent on this, especially given that the outcome always seemed to be certain from 3BC’s point of view. Unless some more viable fan group emerges (or merges?) in the future, I’m pretty happy with the efforts of TJF and plan to stick around and continue contributions if I feel they will be put to good use.
  23. Just want to take a moment to point out that if this all becomes a scandal, we all need to refer to it as “Gategate”…
  24. This for me. I don’t mind patient football, but so many times it was just agonizing to see so many times players were out of sync with each other on 1-2’s or passes down the flank. I thought it was bad last week but it was somehow worse today. We’ve a great start to the season but we won’t get out of the Championship continually playing like we’ve just met each other.
