  1. Not the Dunfermline fans in my family. Described as a donkey who occasionally does something good. Decent scoring record though so must have something. Ofere I can't see at all but he could be great
  2. We played Sunderland last year and Limassol(?) before. I think I had to pay but may wrong

  4. I believe it's four levels below the Conference that KL played last year. They were going for the league title I'm sure. My brother plays a top division Ayrshire junior team and I'm pretty confident in saying it is a higher standard than what KL produced.
  5. Was in Kings Langley with work earlier in year and actually watched a game funnily enough. Can't recall any players in particular but it's a very poor level of football
  6. No problem. Post written in a rush so appreciate it was a bit garbled. Asked my Carlisle supporting pal his thoughts without any mention of him signing for us and got the following An interesting player. Spent a lot of time injured but no doubt one of the most exciting players I have seen at United over the last few years. We played him as a winger - he is very fast. Used to be a sprinter I think!
  7. I posted a thread from a Carlisle forum where there was mixed feelings at his departure. I am in no way critical of the signing. Please enlighten me why I should take a good look at myself?

I think we are going way, way over the top regarding this pitch. There were two unfortunate injuries on Saturday but that is hardly a sample size large enough to deduce artificial is inherently bad and dangerous to play on. I'd be interested to see injury rates at all our clubs who play on these surfaces at the last few seasons. I just there looked at the findings of a Norweigan study over three years on this issue which found no discernible difference between injuries on grass and artificial surfaces for both matches and training. Let's also remember UEFA are happy for games to be played on artificial surfaces, including Champions League finals. Many leagues around the continent use these surfaces and even the best grass pitches now include synthetic elements in them. Personally I'd welcome a move to an artificial surface at Firhill if it increased our revenue.
  11. One of the few threads on here that people, like myself, who tend to just view topics relating to the club has been ruined by this nonsense. Some good discussion and points were being made prior to the puns. Everytime I have come on here in the last few days seeing this topic with no posts has made me click to see if there has been anything of interest happen and I am pretty sure I am not the only one to be disappointed. You may all think its hilarious and reactions like this OTT but people used to use this site for getting up to speed on the latest Thistle news and discussion; interesting topics resorting to this put people like me completely off coming here. Thanks guys
  12. I didn't get it and am a normal TAGite
  13. I love Archie and loved the way he took us to promotion and then survival last year. We played exciting, attacking football with a team of mostly young guys who had . Last year we lost a lot of games but it was highly enjoyable watching us having a go at teams This year though the football is poorer irrespective of us having a few more points. The crowds are down and atmosphere has been very flat. Im not at stage of wanting him sacked yet but I can't see me renewing my season ticket in the summer
  14. ICT are a good side and losing to them is no shame. The deterioration in the style of football this season is the most disappointing thing for me. Firhill was a much funner place to watch football last year despite the poor results.
  15. This is horrific. I much preferred our team of last year
  16. Got a friend coming and we are planning to go in the North Stand for the first time this year. Couple questions 1) Will my JHS season ticket work in NS? Had two times last year where jobsworth stewards wouldn't let me enter 2) What is the logistics of actually getting the pal ticket? Do we need to go to JHS portacabin or will NS season ticket turnstile do?
  17. Seriously did people watch a different game to me regarding Killie's tactics? Hardly Guardiola-esq but they were hardly the hammer throwers some are making them out to be. The boys Muirhead and Slater played very well for them.
  18. I liked the pitch and would much prefer watching football on that surface than a muddy field that grass pitches tend to resemble this time of year. Overall decent enough game although I felt we were pretty poor. I would say that we had better chances than them although they had most of the play, particularly in the first half. Also why people are calling Killie hammer throwers after that bemuses me. They kept the ball on the deck much better than us and looked a lot more composed in midfield.
  19. Someone will have to explain to me how our previous record at this particular ground is in any way relevant to our current team, and how it can act as an excuse. Poor performance here, worryingly similar to a lot of games this season.
