  1. Nice piece of editing...mon the jags...!
  2. I prefer to use the term ugly sisters as one would not like to judge and infer that they have a particluar affection to any religious persuasion. I obviously watch the highlights with the volume down....! Mon the Jags
  3. not sure if these cats have any lives left to buy their way out of the league again I fear they may fall through the arse of the league when they go down, restructure or not and will join the mighty sevco.
  4. Lets give Cowdenbeith the biggest home attendance of their Season. Mon the Jags..!
  5. Listen guys, weve not lost any players, only a couple of ex east enders who don't play anymore. We are the Thistle, then now and forever...!
  6. id go for Allan Moore or Alan Johnston with a number 2 from within. I think its a step up for either of them and will put us in prime position for the league or cup. Most important thing is Thistle must not change the way we play now as its worth the attendance fee.
  7. 12 12 18 was always going to go through with the self preserving top tier. Lets see how the Sfl will vote. 17 sfl teams will be delighted with the assurred revenue the ugly sister will bring to the bottom tier. in my view its been planned and statiscally worked through to be a stitch up...! 14 14 14 was never given a chance as that would have diluted the revenues of the top 12 and added brown stains to the underpants of the the bottom shite of the spl. The bottom 4 clubs in the Spl will fancy their chances against the top 4 of sfl1 and there could possibly mean no promotion each year. Progress or what...?
  8. Think we played reasonably well yesterday but we are very vurnerable in the middle of defence, from teams being direct or when our play is broken down we are caught out of position. Perhaps both Archie and Conrad are a bit too similar and neither is as dominating enough to attack and win the first ball with the other in a more traditional sweeper role. Hopfully we may play a slighly differt style next week as Cornbeef will have more possession at home.
  9. I'm sure if we could all persude a non jag to as many home games as possible they would catch the same incurable disease within a season or two that has defined the rest of us. I think its medical name is jaggititus and is native of those been brought up in the west of scotland with more than the single brain cell and a bout of internal secarian bile..!
  10. That will lead to valencia fans buying up our jags tops. ...! As long as the supply route is better than this seasons debacle, could be a good marketing ploy then we can all get hold of one..
  11. I'm sure Paton will be pitched in at RB, AM to Centre back with Archie or Conrad. Forbes and Erskine back in from the start. As long as our final ball is good and we are up for it, we should get backto winning ways.
  12. it appears to have a more traditional split with the teams playing each other for European, promotion or relegation places.
  13. I'm all for 14-14-14, sounds like the best option all round, well at least its understandable to the standard punter.
  14. Cant understand the mentality of Dumbarton turning fans away without a ticket. Surely having it all ticket means you know there is capacity to sell the remaininb tickets in the office before the game. Think the stupid ticket arrangement at this match ruined the atmosphere, as did the result...!
  15. I don't think we were shite today from a football entertainment sense but we need to to make better decisions at the edge of the box. looking to score the perfect goal will not win us the league, the amount of shots on target was a disgrace. We also need to learn to cross the ball into dangerous areas to attack rather than constantly hitting the first defender. I agree with the comments about getting AM back into centre half, that cost us big today on both goals. I think teams have sussed us out now as when we go a goal behind we quick run out of ideas. I'm so glad I like a drink...!
  16. Dundee Utd used the shit basic wage with a double up bonus in the 80's and it worked well then. All the squad would fight till the end for a win. Sounds like the players were as gutted as we all were yesterday with the injury time goal...!
  17. Hi, Just a thought. it would be worth getting this scheme into a tweet and get the club to retweet it once a week. The twitter account has nearly 3000 followers so that would perhaps up the anti on the fundraising account. Only needs a few people to bite and it could be worthwhile.
  18. the club need to embrace these ideas and think big or the catering will remain amateur and shite. the card idea works in scools so why not Firhill. Anything to avoid a long queue and a hard luck story at the end of it... just like today.
  19. the problem with having a big home crowd is the players need to keep the tempo high to maintain the atmosphere in the stadium. Great first half but I think we dropped a gear in the second half and couldn't pick up again and it spurred on Morton. that and a number of dodgy decisions never helped. .!
  20. I think the crowd will be at the higher end of the 4000 mark and the atmosphere will be good. I'm sure there will be a lot of kids around, not sure if they are counted in the attendance however. A home win will set us up nicely as morton and pars will have a go at each other in the game after.
  21. brilliant thread, have pissed my pants reading it through. a pub is built round the banter and the beer. ill be trying S&G before the next game as it sounds like a fabulous establishment for the aforementioned.
  22. Tried to get my son the jags home top for xmas. no medium in the jags shop nor in greaves, absolutely pathetic. Only way to get him in red&yellow this year is to go for foreign top. Thought we brought in a director with a retail background...!
