    Pressley

'Pressley is sound shocker!' Have to admit, I have always believed this since his principled stand against Romanov
  2. Yes, one minute Rangers are 'ear, the next minute they have gone....
  3. I really think it's end-game now. Time for the SFA/SPL/SFL to put the poor beast out of it's misery. Forget any more midnight talks or cozy deals, they are too enmeshed in debt, legal issues and controversy. Step away from the blue...
  4. ....and another 4 oldco players object to joining newco today. Rangers, the gift that keeps on giving. I increasingly think their bum is oot the window for Season 2012/13. Surely there is no way Longmuir can push through a solution that satisfies SFL Chairmen and the fans? Time has run out IMO. Time to put newco out to pasture for a year, then perhaps they can apply for a place in SFL3 if they have their house in order.
  5. I think in this new statement, we can see the subtle influence of the One Thistle group; they seem to be a much more effective communication conduit to the Board than the remnants of the Jags Trust could ever aspire to be.

Perhaps apart from the fact that old Rangers have £70m debt and new Rangers don't exist yet? Morally it would be corrupt if newco bought another club just to get into Div1. The newco should follow existing rules, take their medicine, and start from the bottom. Any other outcome will bring the Scottish game to it's knees.

My real fear is that newco grab a takeover of Cowdenbeath; after all, a certain Donald Findlay is involved there. No to newco gatecrashing Division 1. They van apply to start at the bottom. I hope Spartans challenge for the spare place in Div3
  8. DU is right, we could do with a plan. If the stories about SFL talks ahead of any 4 July SPL vote are true, something needs to happen soon. What about as many Jags fans as possible staging a demo outside Firhill one day this week, protesting for league reconstruction and against newco admission? Get some journos from ET, The Glaswegian, DR along ? Simple stuffings send out some powerful messages before any SFL Chairman get further drawn into this mess by the lure of filthy lucre...
  9. Great post Mr M. The day that Thistle put money ahead of sporting integrity, would be the death of things to come. Mr Beattie, I hope you are reading every word from the very many committed fans who have been posting on the newco fiasco. Dont make our Club the laughing stock of the SFL.
  10. Very interesting document, Guy Incognito. Perhaps required reading for all SPL Chairmen before the 4th of July vote?
  11. WHAM...the sound of newco feeling the full force of sanctions!
  12. I think they should be called Club Tropicana, be forced to wear Hawaiian shirts as strips, and have to dance like Andrew Ridgely as part of their warm up routine at 3rd Division games.
  13. Looks great, the best away top since the pink & grey one. Ordered already. Be proud to wear !
  14. Interesting the administrators final bill may well be in the region of £5.5m, exactly what Green is offering as a takeover fee. That will be that money gone then... I think the honourable thing would be for Duff & Duffer to take their fees at 9 pence in the pound...
  15. While company law might make it possible for one entity to be liquidated and re-emerge as a 'slate wiped clean' newco, morally their tax avoidance and debt mismanagement needs to be punished. Starting out in the Third Division as a minimum surely; any SPL Clubs that vote in favour of their instant re-admittance, needs to look hard at their conscience and the plight of Rangers many creditors. The fact alone that they have not paid fully for Jelavic, despite having received £5.5 million from Everton, is enough reason for them to go down. This story needs a just ending.
  16. And in the meantime, Duff & Duffer's bill for 'professional' services just gets bigger and bigger. How ironic if Rangers were liquidated partly due to the millions they will be owing the administrators...
  17. Not for the first time, the Lady calls it right. Ayr is a good start to pre-season. There will be other games too..., Going to be a good season, can't wait
  18. Great opportunity for him, hope to see Ayr promoted again next season!
  19. I agree with Kni; priority for Jackie's chequebook must be midfield to replace Cairney. Someone to develop a good understanding with Rowson and create real opportunities for Erskine, Doolan and McGuigan.
  20. Grant, I think you need to get out more...
  21. The Cavens sells the best pub grub in Dumfries. Your opinion on this occasion is so wrong, it's honking!
  22. I think this One Thistle initiative is to be welcolmed and I wish Jim, Dave and Ian Mac and others all the very best with it. Good luck guys.
  23. I used to be Jaggernaut till I became Spartacus
