  1. I'm really curious to know what you think has changed.
  2. Not that I doubt that's what they may bring, it's just strange that they could potentially bring more to Firhill than they can get for a home game. Proof if ever it was needed that they're only here to see the Thistle?? I'll be in the North Stand anyway!! Come on!
  3. O'Donnell took at least 2. One of which was an "outswinger" that went out of play before swinging back in.
  4. We weren't at our best yesterday. We seemed very nervous. If we had played to our potential we would have seen you off quite easily. The second division has been poor this year. if you play that same team in the first you'll struggle to make an impact.
  5. Goading is unacceptable? Should pass that message on to your captain.
  6. Why on earth are you nervous? According to all the Greenock trolls on this board you've already won it.
  7. Muirhead was stupid to do what he did, although in his defence it's easy to say he should have turned away. He's a yound guy who had just missed a penalty in the last min of a cup final and he's got opposition players laughing in his face and goading him. The real punishment for him will be in the form of his ban, which could be quite substantial. He's obviously missing the Morton game, and will likely miss the Airdrie and Raith Rovers games. In the event of his replacement, whether that be McMillan or Dowie, playing well then the reality is that he's lost his place in the team for the run in. If we go on and win the title he'll still get a medal but he'll be gutted picking it up off the bench.
  8. Was looking at some bets for the game and I saw Bet365 are offering 28/1 for Erskine to score 2 or more. That's great value!
  9. We've now worked ourself into a position whereby if we can win our 3 remaining home games, that may well be all we need to pull ourselves over the line. It would leave us with a total of 75 points, with Morton needing to win the other 5 games they have to better that and by one point only. A point in one of the away games would virtually guarantee the league by virtue of our superior goal difference. Looking at Morton's games, not all are easy; Airdrie (H) - Should win, pretty comfortably in reality. Thistle (A) - Toughest game for them, hopefully a Thistle win. Dunfermline (H) - Much like the Airdrie game, they should win this reasonably comfortably Livingston (A) - Tough game, two draws and a Morton win in the 3 games so far Accies (H) - On the face of it they should win, but Accies have proved to be a bogey team this season, two Accies wins and a draw so far. Falkirk (A) - Tough game, but they've won there already this season. One game at a time for the Jags though, starting on Wednesday.
  10. Another clean sheet. Our defence is looking really solid, that was a severe test tonight. As mentioned above, that could be a decisive point at the end of the day!
  11. Not sounding great so far, sounds like we're under a fair bit of pressure.
  12. Morton didn't even go top after they beat us on Boxing Day. Think they may have went top on the 29th and only lost it last week. With the season being 8 months old at the moment, Morton have been top thewhole of Jan, Feb and most of March. The rest of the time it's been us as far as i'm aware barring a week here or there. Edited to add; we went top in week 3, although we would have been joint top until that point. We lost top spot over Christmas/New Year time and gained it back last week. Working it on "game weeks" we have been top for 13 and Morton top for 12, so it's actually pretty close.
  13. In fairness, you're viewing it from a pretty grainy webcam. There will be an SFA referee there who would have carried out the pitch inspection and if he's satisfied that the pitch is playable then I don't think either club is going to try and persuade him otherwise. The only potentially iffy thing is that it's likely to be a local ref that's done the inspection and that the actual match referee could have a different view when he turns up say 2 hours before kick off.
  14. Can't view the live stream so don't actually know what kind of view you get of the pitch, but if you get a decent view and it's actually live and not delayed by 5-10 mins then I assume they turn it off when Cowden are playing??
  15. Quite frankly I could't give a toss about how Greenock fans would feel about the match being moved to a neutral venue. In fact if I were them I would keep my mouth shut as they've already been handed a massive advantage due to the numerous call offs already. Moving the game to ensure it is played is actually a benefit to Cowdenbeath too, as a fixture pile up for them with a small squad in a relegation battle is something they would be keen to avoid.
  16. Yeah it's a joke that a fixture that has been postponed as many times as this hasn't been moved to a ground that can guarantee that it will be played. There have already been examples provided of clubs moving fixtures to other grounds to ensure the game goes ahead. They could have played the Cowden game at a different venue this midweek and gotten it out of the way. What has the weather last year got to do with anything
  17. I hope the club are starting to put pressure on. The game on Wednesday could easily have been rearranged to be played at Alloa or Stenhousemuir as you suggested with a little foresight and a check of the long range forecasts. Saturday's game is an exception as it's the original date for the fixture so we probably don't have grounds to seek a relocation despite the problems we seem to be having in playing a game in Cowdenbeath. One or two postponements is understandable, not ideal, but understandable. If Wednesday's game is off, will this be the 4th postponement plus the abandonment? Joke.
  18. With snow forecast all week and low temperatures expected it's almost nailed on that both games will be postponed. This is well past a joke now. The club should be putting pressure on the SFL and Cowdenbeath to move these games to a venue that will guarantee that the game gets played whether that be Recreation Park, EEP or elsewhere. The games cannot continue to be posponed and re-arranged indefinitely.
  19. The forecast on the BBC for Bathgate has not turned out to be anywhere near as bad as the reality so far, fingers crossed the same is applicable to Cowdenbeath.
  20. Might have been the same week but I was only a few numbers out one time too in the North Stand.
  21. I'm sure if there were any players they were wanting to sign they'd not actually have to come and watch them. If they don't know their strengths and weaknesses inside out then they've been doing it wrong. Probably just took the opportunity to come and watch their old team playing a massive game. Nothin more, nothing less.
  22. Queens have now sold out their initial allocation.
  23. I think people also forget that our team is made up of a lot of young players who by their nature, are going to be be up and down in terms of their performances on a week by week basis. Hence why when we get an early goal, more often than not we tend to go on and do quite well. When that doesnt happen we can sometimes get a little nervous.
