  1. I dont think im alone in thinking its a matter of time before we stop pretending being shite and start getting a few wins. Its this same hope of 'we'll be awrite' that saw us sink last season, and will likely see us plummet further to the depths of league one. Its staggering how poorly managed our club has been, from relative stability to freefall. Saturday is a must win.
  2. Imagine going into battle with that lot. Half of them would surrender if it started raining.
  3. Serious questions should have been asked about his approach to the 2nd half in the post match interview. It was bizarre to say the least. Like others, I have also been disappointed with the line ups, its just exactly the same shite as before. I know there isnt much play there but I would have hoped he would have been able to see where our weaknesses and strengths lie. Regarding him criticising the players, its about time they realised its time to work hard for your money. Confidence is one thing but we have a squad of guisers pretending to be professional footballers. A probationary period is normal in many jobs, if the board had any sense there would be one in his contract so that there would be an added sense of pressure to get results early. He left himself wide open for questioning yesterday, I dont think anyone can disagree with that.
  4. Is he signed on a 3 month probationary period?
  5. Why was Tam Scobbie not used as a direct replacement for McGinty? Seems very strange
  6. Almost forgot what that felt like to see us score
  7. Our seats in the north stand were the original stickers from 2013/14 since we moved from the jhs but tbh its the least of my worries about the club
  8. I think all the officials must hate refereeing our matches because we have two or three players trying to mark them out the game
  9. Banzo hasnt been the same player since he returned from playing with the Scotland under 21s. I remember how he got forward at every opportunity and provided goals as well as scoring. That was when he could have been called an asset. Sitting midfielders are a dime a dozen.
  10. Aw is that why Sandy and Co thought Archie was doing a great job.
  11. Oh Dear. I would have hoped the new manager would have selected a more creative starting 11. He plays Brice? He couldnt have done his homework as well as he claimed
  12. Elliott, Ntembwe are two that would wash up somewhere, just so happens to be the shores of firhill. I dont think other than that we have a bad squad. I just dont think were getting the best out of the likes of Spittal, Storey etc and we barely give players like quitongo and Fitzpatrick a game when they have shown more in their cameo appearances than we have seen in quite some time
  13. That more or less sums up the past couple of years. I think in some cases the Stockholm syndrome set in and folk almost accepted the cliches as 'typical' Partick Thistle. As for not so cuddly anymore? When you look up cuddly toy, were top of the list above the generation game
  14. Welcome Gary. He looks to have done his homework and hopefully gets us back into contention for at least 4th. Time to get behind the manager who will bring at long last a breath of fresh air into Firhill Mon eh Jags
  15. It would equally be a punt for McCall to leave his table topping side to try and turn around our fortunes. Ntembwe, Storer, Elliott. With players like that on the books, whoever takes the reigns has a big job in his hands.
  16. I think the 'burden' of being captain is being over exaggerated. I cant see how it would affect a players performance either.
  17. That sounds like a very divisive and ridiculous post to make. It shouldnt have been allowed to continue this season after the manner of our playoff disaster. There has been a defeatist attitude around the club for too long now. Excuse followed by excuse. Archie and Scott are and forever will be Thistle legends and I wish them luck in whatever they do next
  18. Attack, Attack, Attack. Its as simple as that. Forget the craig levein style tactics and slow pedestrian passing and we might do something this year.
  19. That is a good point someone made regarding fixtures when we were in the premier. People were actually just writing off 12-15 games per season when we played the top 4/5. 'Aye but weve had a difficult run of fixtures, it must be the SFA who want us relegated' Its that ilk that want Archie to drain our soul. I mean, what more do you need to see? Theres always some shite excuse and im fed up with it. And you say were not real supporters for not backing the manager? This ignorance will see us stagnate for years as the money disappears. Enough is enough.
  20. If Mr Clarke hadnt been appointed they might have been a championship team. Our persistence with Archie has got us where we are.
  21. All you need to do is compare the fortunes of us and Kilmarnock. Steve Clarke has near enough won more games in a year than Archie did in 5. Kilmarnock were going nowhere fast but he has instilled a winning mentality. His side have already beat aberdeen and celtic this year, we can boast 2 points against the old firm in 5 year, when celtic and rangers were arguably shite
  22. I wouldnt say it was a howler either, I would have said it was a lot worse than that. The decision making for someone making a career in football is staggering. Ive said it before and ill say it again, Elliot would struggle to get a game for Albion Rovers or Clyde.
