  1. Danny Dyer whilst kerb-dancing with Millwall. Propahh nawtyyy guv.
  2. Superb game, superb celebration, superb day. Cringe of the day: the 15 year old boys dressed up as Danny Dyer and their silly wee NGE flag.
  3. I disagree. If team-lists are included in the programme I will not only stop buying it, but I will throw my scarf and season ticket on the pitch in a fit of anger. Putting team-lists in the programme would be the last straw for me. I'd become a cricket fan. Team-lists out.
  4. I think you need a lie down pal.
  5. Were you at the game? The team were extremely unlucky today. Played some great stuff and were the better team even when it was 11 v 11. Disappointed not to win but the team gave their all and bottled nothing. Extremely enjoyable game, one of the most entertaining of the season.
  6. No. He had a complete nightmare. I vividly remember some Thistle fans positioning themselves next to the tunnel (or what passes for a tunnel at Stenny) at the end of the game and screaming abuse in Kenny's face. I think he was dropped for the next game and replaced by Michael Brown, and then brought back in a few games later when we played Queens Park at Hampden (think we won 1-0). He was No 1 for the rest of the season from then on in.
  7. The Thistle 'casuals' at Hamilton were, as they usually are, completely hilarious but embarassing. They are a bunch of wee guys who whack on Stone Island jackets and seem to think they are hard men. They didn't appear to even do anything whilst in the Hamilton end, they just made a few gestures at a group of 14 year old Hamilton fans whilst being escorted away. PROPAHH NAWTYY.
  8. Except this forum is essentially about 6 or 7 folk having the same arguments over and over, in an increasingly boring way. Stop taking the internet so seriously.
  9. People's memory loss astounds me sometimes. That season, along with many before and many since, was utterly miserable. This season hasn't exactly scaled the heights but it hasn't really been entirely miserable either. Entirely mediocre, yes, but I have witnessed far worse. Does nobody remember players like Paul McIntyre, Craig Flannigan and Harry Curran? We have seen crap players before and we shall see them again. At the moment we have some decent, if inconsistent, young players and a manager who is learning his trade. I do wish the mass hysteria that is seen on here sometimes would die down a bit, along with rose-eyed looks back at times that were much pisher than this.
  10. Nah. From my experience and from talking to others Maxi does a great job and is very well liked by everyone he deals with. He can't do everything.
  11. Sort out the catering. It is an absolute disgrace. The queuing system is ridiculous. The service is painfully slow and, without being too harsh considering most are just young kids who are getting paid pennies, those serving don't appear to have much of a clue what they are doing and some appear downright rude. Running out of pies before half-time on Saturday was just a joke. It isn't hard to get right, it is fairly easy to predict the kind of crowds we are going to get each week and to order the requisite amount of food. I don't know who is in charge of catering these days, but it has went downhill to an alarming degree since a few seasons ago when the company who did the 'Pie of the Month' etc took over. They seemed to have it down to a tee, with lots of quick, friendly staff and a wide selection of food, but for whatever reason the current service is rubbish. Aside from that, my match day experience would be improved by us being good at football.

    Just In

Rubbish game made rubbish-er by the pie stall running out of pies even before half-time. The catering is a joke at Firhill these days.
  13. Is the news that the Scotland captain is suffering from a serious health condition bad news? Eh...yes.
  14. Absolutely horrible news. May he rest in peace. Makes this article from yesterday's Guardian seem all the more relevant and poignant. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2011/nov/25/the-secret-footballer
  15. This is the final straw for me. I don't pay good money every week just so that the players and management can refuse sausage rolls and a can of Tennents after a game. I won't be back until I see the starting eleven from last week absolutely demolish a medium to large sized buffet. NON-BUFFET EATERS OUT!
  16. It's less about being 'pals' with the players and more to do with just not being a hateful, anonymous person on an internet forum who thinks it's okay to write post after post of bile, or to scream abuse in the face of young guys who are probably earning less than the average wage and who, whilst playing horrifically on Saturday, haven't actually killed anybody.
  17. That's not entirely true is it? He's looked like the classiest player on the pitch in quite a few games he's played. His comments might be a bit ill-advised and he probably should have sayed shtoom (even though I agree with his comments), but to criticise his performances, which have largely been excellent, is a bit silly.

    Jackie

McCall says a lot of things, most of which is usually nonsense. I'd be happy to bet that he won't manage Thistle again, nor should he.
  19. This has absolutely nothing to do with political correctness. Of course people have to be careful about what they do or say on social networking sites, but the players on Twitter haven't done anything wrong! It's as simple as that.
  20. Oh good god you are right, I take it all back. MY EYES! MY EYES! I am so offended. I am particularly offended on behalf of other people that could potentially see it and be offended. There is nothing more offensive than a bunch of young guys playing a childish prank on each other, particularly when it is done using shaving foam.
  21. Bloody hell. Having read their tweets fairly regularly there is absolutely nothing in them which is at all controversial. They just seem like a bunch of young guys who love being professional footballers. Get a grip of yourself and stop trying to be offended.
