  1. I think it is a segregation issue. Recently, all away supports have been located in the South end of the CW stand, even Livi and Hamilton. Last support in JHS was QP in December.
  2. They will have to have a wee think about how to handle walk ups on Friday night as well, though.
  3. I think I did answer your question. I said that he might have been sacked as he had just lost successive games to St Johnstone. As it happens, I don’t think he has a great managerial record as a solo manager.
  4. You haven’t answered my question. The point I was making was that whatever the disagreement was - it was affecting his family and that was why he quit. He might have got sacked as they had just lost successive matches to St. Johnstone. At the time, they were 1 point off the top six. Like so many clubs find out, changing your manager so late doesn’t often help and their situation got slightly worse with the new guy. People change their minds - he’s been sitting on his hands for 3 months. Maybe he’s decided that’s enough time.
  5. Do you know what the clash between Kettlewell and the Motherwell fans was about ? Whatever it was, it was bad enough that it was affecting his family and that was why he quit.
  6. I agree with you. I don’t think Imrie has anything to offer Thistle.
  7. Irrespective of whether these types of payments are common or not, the communication from the club comes across as if this is the first time it is being considered as a way to cut costs. So, whether this was intended or not there certainly needs to be more care taken in how the club wants to get its message across, particularly at sensitive times.
  8. They still need at least a point to be sure, I think-although I don’t know what the remaining fixtures are.
  9. It’s surely something his agent should be doing, though. Although, I appreciate it was a last minute thing and there might not have been time. But, given the parlours state of Scottish football it wouldn’t unfair for any player to ask of a club they were considering moving to if there were any financial difficulties or charges from the football bodies on the go.
  10. Isn’t his signing one of the reasons for the points deduction? They had a signing embargo on anyone over 20 ?
  11. What sort of prize money is there in the women’s game in Scotland.
  12. Pretty sure Budinaukas did get booked recently for timewasting.
  13. Although there won’t be new a new manager/coach this season, it doesn’t mean that Baraclough, having seen that and presumably other games, shouldn’t start helping out straight away. No time like the present to start earning your salt.
  14. What stood out yesterday and pretty much every week has been the standard of finishing. Even during the warm ups you can see the difference. Our finishing is abysmal!
  15. I don’t feel like there is a general malaise around the club and I would suggest that the increase in attendances over the last 2 seasons support that. I think, though, that we are in a period of transition and it still remains to be seen whether fan ownership will work for us. But it is what Colin Weir wanted, Jackie Low hijacked and now the trusts are trying to salvage.
  16. I wondered whether Lawless could play there. He could protect the ball. He’s maybe not ready to start, though.
  17. Who will play instead of Bannigan - I assume he is suspended after his booking last week.
  18. You know what ? I have no idea what you want for PTFC. A club where the ownership revolves every few seasons, never making a profit but sometimes plunging towards financial ruin as under 3BC, which, by the way is where I think all your questions about where did the money go should be directed. Or do you want one that on the face of it is taking a gradual approach to get us back on an even keel with the help of some investment from a well off Thistle fan and some of his network. You did say when the club is stable off the park it is successful on the park. But it seems you wanted immediate success
  19. In what way do you think it has been less successful than hoped and in what way do you not think it has been transparent and accountable?
  20. The first thing is that the club can’t be sold without the fans voting for it. It’s not dependent on a few shareholders but all the beneficiaries - over 2,000. As long as it is managed properly, we won’t have another cash flow crisis thanks to Donald McClymont, Alastair Creevy and the luck of the Rangers cup tie. (The mess began under JLow, maybe even before).
  21. You maybe right about the stability off the park.. But we can’t have short term stability there either. Fan ownership might offer us long term stability.
  22. That’s not what I am saying. It’s not about McCabe. It’s about Thistle. Thistle won’t stick with a manager that only gets 6 points from 20 games - McCabe, Graham, Doolan, Anybody.
