  1. A draw was no good to us last night. But it was good of the Falkirk fans to think that it was only them that needed a result.
  2. I’ve walked away from a job, without another one to go to after about 9 months.
  3. I don’t think they are looking for empty flats or houses. It reads like they are looking for people to help the players/staff settle in. The club maybe learned something from Sayer’s experience being a young guy away from home.
  4. Sayers was away before the Milne deal, if I remember right.
  5. On re reading the club post, it looks like they are only looking for people to put the players/staff up to provide the home away from home and look after their wellbeing.
  6. In what way is it going to save money. Do they hope to get commercial property at non commercial rates or that people will put players/staff up and not charge appropriately?
  7. Where did we put Harry Milne up ?
  8. And any Falkirk fan that doesn’t have a ticket for the Colin Weir stand can do that too.
  9. I think it is a segregation issue. Recently, all away supports have been located in the South end of the CW stand, even Livi and Hamilton. Last support in JHS was QP in December.
  10. They will have to have a wee think about how to handle walk ups on Friday night as well, though.
  11. I think I did answer your question. I said that he might have been sacked as he had just lost successive games to St Johnstone. As it happens, I don’t think he has a great managerial record as a solo manager.
  12. You haven’t answered my question. The point I was making was that whatever the disagreement was - it was affecting his family and that was why he quit. He might have got sacked as they had just lost successive matches to St. Johnstone. At the time, they were 1 point off the top six. Like so many clubs find out, changing your manager so late doesn’t often help and their situation got slightly worse with the new guy. People change their minds - he’s been sitting on his hands for 3 months. Maybe he’s decided that’s enough time.
  13. Do you know what the clash between Kettlewell and the Motherwell fans was about ? Whatever it was, it was bad enough that it was affecting his family and that was why he quit.
  14. I agree with you. I don’t think Imrie has anything to offer Thistle.
  15. Irrespective of whether these types of payments are common or not, the communication from the club comes across as if this is the first time it is being considered as a way to cut costs. So, whether this was intended or not there certainly needs to be more care taken in how the club wants to get its message across, particularly at sensitive times.
  16. They still need at least a point to be sure, I think-although I don’t know what the remaining fixtures are.
  17. It’s surely something his agent should be doing, though. Although, I appreciate it was a last minute thing and there might not have been time. But, given the parlours state of Scottish football it wouldn’t unfair for any player to ask of a club they were considering moving to if there were any financial difficulties or charges from the football bodies on the go.
  18. Isn’t his signing one of the reasons for the points deduction? They had a signing embargo on anyone over 20 ?
  19. What sort of prize money is there in the women’s game in Scotland.
  20. Pretty sure Budinaukas did get booked recently for timewasting.
  21. Although there won’t be new a new manager/coach this season, it doesn’t mean that Baraclough, having seen that and presumably other games, shouldn’t start helping out straight away. No time like the present to start earning your salt.
  22. What stood out yesterday and pretty much every week has been the standard of finishing. Even during the warm ups you can see the difference. Our finishing is abysmal!
  23. I don’t feel like there is a general malaise around the club and I would suggest that the increase in attendances over the last 2 seasons support that. I think, though, that we are in a period of transition and it still remains to be seen whether fan ownership will work for us. But it is what Colin Weir wanted, Jackie Low hijacked and now the trusts are trying to salvage.
