  1. I hope we turn up in numbers. Pretty sure there were more Partick voices at 2021 or whatever the heck Saint Mirren's new ground is called. Let's turn up at Tannadice in ever bigger numbers! This, this season, is doable. And would be revenge of a sort. Not, presumeably for the players, but for us!
  2. That would be the table next to Messi and Ronaldinio discussing what they could give back to Maryhill :-)
  3. Yeah, maybe. But we can do this! I think that this is a more robust Thistle team than we've seen in a long long while.
  4. Who the hell is running Scottish Football? Absent the possibility that Accies have a guarantee of World Wide television rights and gazillions in the bank from that, I think they'd be lucky to have a thousand in the ground. This is the SFA doing it's very very best to destroy Scottish Football.
  5. Well? Can we? I think we can, but then I'm one of the few optimists on this forum. Let's hear from you.
  6. Our publicity has been incredibly favourable. Our attendances less so. What Archie and Co have achieved is remarkable, given the fan base who actually turn up.. I'd like, as a New Year wish, to see a heck of a lot more people turning up and watching the team. Regularily. Come hell or high water. So, LIB has the right of it. Perhaps instead of criticism, everyone here could try to get a friend to attend? You never know, they might become regulars.
  7. admin1, Cheers, I have read your message. I think it requires a few moderators, and a space for moderators to discuss moderation if you see what I mean. I am willing to be part of a team, but I would be loath to do it on my own. Have you had any other expressions of interest? If not, I'll do it still, but support would be really useful. douglas clark
  8. Thanks greg. So, we sort of saw a bit of history there, yesterday.
  9. Thought Cerny proved he is a better keeper than Fox. Thought Dan Seabourne showed what a good defender he is. Thought Osman was immense at breaking things up and stealing balls off the opposition. Thought we played some amazing stuff on the edge of their penalty area, just that last pass... Oh! And Doolan is still amazing! Great to be a Jag tonight. Couple of questions for the statisticians around. When was the last time we won four games on the bounce in the Premier League? And when was the last time Thistle won and the ugly sisters both lost on the same day?
  10. Think the folk that have run this site for yonks deserve enormous praise. I would absolutely hate this forum to disappear. If it would be useful, I am willing to be part of a consortium of folk that took over the running. My CV includes having enormous experience of being moderated off sites like the Herald, the Guardian, and others. OTOH the good folk on Space.com wanted me to be a moderator. I refused. Dunno, is that a job application?
  11. JesusTejero, Are you a Partick Thistle fan? If so your cringe: The notion that the BBC is biased against us is nonsense. We are one of the smallest teams in the division and the reality is we will always get less coverage and attention than others. does you no credit, whatsoever.
  12. I think that on the grounds of his incredible pace over short distances, that the man could play almost anywhere. We are lucky to have him. BTW he outjumped a pretty tall Kilmarnock attacker on a few occasions on Saturday. See this jumping off the ground malarky? If Pogba took lessons from Dumbuya...... The man is a class act. I am absolutely astonished that he has spent most of his career at a low level. I hope we can retain his services in January, because he is a stand out player for us.
  13. The Jukebox Rebel, Meant to say thanks for the info. So: Ta.
  14. Archie appears to have gained faith in attacking. That was the team that got a draw at Parkheid last week. That was a team we destroyed by attacking. That was a football match I shall never forget. I hope he just sticks with that set up for the rest of the season. We might not win every game, but it would be a joy to watch.
  15. Jaggernaut, My thoughts exactly. I am a tad surprised that he hasn't had a Scotland call-up.
  16. The Jukebox Rebel, I think he shoud be playing for Scotland. He is that good. Not playing for a 'big' team, not pushing himself forward. The man is better than he thinks he is. BTW, I had no idea about winning 5 - 2. I think I missed all of them, apart from today. Joy!
  17. I think the guy see's himself as an out and out team player. In that instant, he thought a pass was more likely to result in a goal than him hitting it himself. We will never know, but sacrificing your own ego, for a better opportunity? Chris Doolan is a legend.
  18. Mind you, I would equally love it if Doolan could grab his first away goal in the League in over 18 months. Bearing in mind he’s still in line for a Killie grand slam this season. Happy now? I bet you are.
  19. Ahh... I was going to ask when Thistle last won 5 - 2 away. Thanks. That is an extremely odd result, stato-wise. Have Thistle done it before that Hearts triumph?
  20. I was in the North Stand, chittering, The noise the folk there made was amazing in the circumstances. I have no idea how many folk were in the NS, but there was a lot of noise where I was sitting. Contrarywise the JHS seemed silent throughout the match. Perhaps sound doesn't travel around the ground? No doubt the JHS was jumping up and down and getting right behind the team? Eh?
  21. The folk that go unmentioned here are Kingsford Capital. Altruistically, they invested IIRC £100k in the club with no realistic expectation of a return. Instead they have had near global publicity through Kingsley. That was, as they say, an internet phenomenon. If it has been good for them, even as a talking point with mega rich investors, they may want to build on that. Or maybe they've just given ptfc a few shares in Kingsford Capital ;-) Just a thought.
  22. We have ran this forum for 5 years now and have really enjoyed it. Over the past couple of years we haven't had the time required to dedicate to the forum, and over that time the forum has sort of been neglected which we would like to apologise for. We have had a busy few years and now we're expecting a baby on top of our other commitments - so it seems as good a time as any for us to call it a day. No apologies necessary, you've done a great job. And congratulations btw. What's involved in running it? I would imagine that it's mainly down to deleting posts that are ott. And making sure that bans stick. To achieve that you need a group of people who are on here 24/7. I tend to look at the forum a few times a week, so I am not your ideal candidate. But there are people who frequent this forum far more frequently than I. Lady Isobel Barnett, Blackpool Jag come to mind, but there are many others. A group effort might be good?
  23. Scully Dumbuya - Lindsay - Seaborne - Booth Fraser - Osman Doolan - Lawless - Bannigan Pogba I recall Doolan's attempt on goal at the very end of the Accies game. He deserves a start and might play well off Pogba.Amoo needs to be more decisive before he justifies a start ahead of Doolan. Doolan also tracks back pretty well. Looking forward to it.
