  1. A whole new thread there 'Worst pie ever'! One that sticks in my mind (as well as throat) was one at Easter Road. Burning hot crust but frozen in the middle when I complained the female at the stall scowled and slapped my 50p refund right in a pool of bovril on the counter top!
  2. Think the only grease you might get will be from one of the pies at Firhill!
  3. Im sure he wanted the guarantee of more gametime and Archie said he couldn't give him that. IIRC there were no hard feelings on either side.
  4. Pars supporting mate reckons he's decent. Scoring around 1 goal every 2 ½ games in poor teams and pretty quick. Seem to remember him pulling our defence all over the place when he came on but that's probably no great achievement at the time!
  5. Fitzpatrick mentioned elsewhere. Cochrane at Queens think Cochrane is still under contract tho', O'Hara at Dunfermline also heard Lawless mentioned.

Weren't Britton and Whyte joint player managers or 1st team player coaches? Either way it didn't work out well.
  7. Beat me to it. A bit surprised that they are looking to keep Crawford but at least we can start putting forward names for specific positions!

Does anyone actually have any idea how his season has gone? Has he been getting a regular game, any idea what the management and fans thought about him.
  9. But the BBC can list the Scottish Women's Premier league fixtures. Go figure.
  10. I guess we can all think of players who thought they had made it in similar circumstances and failed to match their early promise. Hope the people around Cameron are looking after him and not just out for a quick payday.
  11. Agree with all of this. Foster comes across as a decent guy and probably signed to keep playing at a decent level and because he has a good relationship with McColl. There may be any number of reasons they play badly but I don't believe players ever go out to play badly. Some fans need to get a grip. ETA if you gave me the play offs at the start of the season I would be delighted.
  12. Honestly I wouldn't care if it was the Scottish or League Cup or even whatever the challenge Cup is known by. I just want to see Thistle lifting a cup, it's been way too long.
  13. I hope he stays and develops for a few more years and he becomes a first team player but if he goes and we get a decent development fee then that is what an academy system is for. Teenagers are leaving the ugly sisters academies to go down south so don't see ours as any different. Aiden Fitzpatrick was an academy player who only played a couple of games before hewent to Norwich for a reported six figure fee. That sort of deal can keep the academy running for a couple of seasons
  14. See Cameron Cooper is in the u17 squad for the European Championship finals. Great to see him getting further recognition https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61274162
  15. From Archie's update it sounds like Tiffony will not make it tonight. Upside is the rest of the squad is available so there's a chance for those that have been out to get some game time
  16. I wonder what the report that the club commissioned said? Frankly there's no point in lifting the surface and topsoil and replacing them if there are underlying problems with the drainage system.
  17. I'd guess as an employee while he may be consulted he will need to do what he's asked to do whether he agrees of likes it. He's not on the board so won't have a vote on any decisions.
  18. Looks like another good signing. Also pleased that signings are being made earlier rather than one pre season is underway, hope it continues.
  19. Not pretty to watch but to be fair a battling performance, Sneddon had little to do even when Dunfermline went with 4 up top.
  20. Brechin was always a decent away day, some decent pubs in the town centre and a wee walk down to Glene Park. The ground looks curiously out of proportion these days with a big stand behind one of the goals. I always liked a trip to Forfar if only for a couple if beers in the Plough Inn and to stock up on bridies!
  21. Seem to remember Gerry was remonstrating with the ref and threw his arms out. Muscat who was walking behind Gerry and couldn't have been in his eyeline went down clutching his face. Result red card.
  22. Morton confirmed they were the Championship club that voted against VAR due to costs and 'diminishing fan experience'. Seems odd given that the cost is being footed by the Premiership clubs not sure how getting marginal decisions right will diminish their fans experience.
