  1. £18 less for 1 less league game and no league cup games.....disappointed that the club hasn't made an effort to add value to the season ticket. Frankly we are being asked to pay more to watch Thistle in a lower league. Couple of things I think the BoD should have done 1. charge less for the JL stand, 2. Either add group stage games in in the league cup and home challenge cup games to the season ticket or promised ST holders a 50% discount on walk up prices, let's face it we will be lucky to get more than 2000-2500 in for them. On another point, the TTL merchandise is pretty dire, apart from a couple of training tops and tracksuit, there's not much on offer. One of the supporters groups (Edinburgh & East of Scotland I think) have produced some great t shirts in the last few years, why not ask for some help designing t-shirts, make 3 or 4 limited edition designs like the ones Greaves had when we had the deal with them? there are plenty companies that will print a smallish run on decent quality t-shirts.
  2. You would think that the spfl would try and keep travel to a minimum over the festive period...oh wait...obviously think we love travelling to Dingwall at Christmas
  3. 2yr deal according to official site. Good signing, thought he was older than 31, prime age for a keeper.
  4. is that a new away kit in the banner of the post on the website? looks red with a black collar?
  5. asked the club today if there would be any other games added to the ticket like last year when the 2 home LC groups games were added. Was told no only league games...would have be nice if there was some incentive to pay up front. I usually miss 4 or 5 games a season so really cant see me renewing
  6. Not sure about Paton but Freddie still seems to have a soft spot for the Jags, if he's fit he would be a great signing
  7. Think Maxi said 2 full size G3 pitches for the Academy/Development squads & a full size grass one for the 1st team. The club were looking to get the pitches laid as a priority then the other building work so assume that the players in the senior & development squads will commute to/from Firhill to use the changing facilities in the short term. Having our own permanent training facility will be an attraction for new players, most teams still seem to use various facilities of different standards.
  8. Thought there was plans for the club to provide somewhere to lock them away between games
  9. Totally agree about assistant refs, in rugby they are much more involved and the refereeing 'team' works well together (although errors do get made). Even in England the assistants are much more involved than here. I think VAR is a step forward, at the moment there are teething problems but I watch a bit of the A league and its used there and is pretty well managed and delays minimised.
  10. Would like to see the Trust getting involved with the club on this. There will be guys out there who can design t shirts, scarves etc. (The East of Scotland Supporters Club have done some cracking t-shirts in the past) and there must be firms happy to do small runs of items. Unless the deal with TTL doesn't allow this of course
  11. Thanks elevenone, enjoy the beer and if it's your birthday hope its been a good one!
  12. Well done partick76, I'm happy with the result if not the score!
  13. or want to avoid injury or suspensions? Agree they bossed Aberdeen all day, doubt if Mcinnes will be there next season
  14. Kits have been chosen by the club for next season. Maxi said that they would consider running a poll/competition in the future though, and no, there were no hints about what next season's kit would look like! (still hankering for a '71 style yellow top with red shorts combo)
  15. Think Maxi at the recent Trust meeting said the contract with Joma/TTL runs through to the end of next season. Home and away kits are chosen for next season
  16. one for whom the word 'Legend' really does apply RIP
  17. is Ruth not more of a right winger than centre mid?
  18. It wasn't specifically mentioned but I assumed at the meeting that if ST were going up so would PATG prices. For what its worth I'd like the option to buy a ST that includes all home cup games (not just the sectional games in the league cup), I know we can't guarantee any home draws but pay an additional say £15 to get into all home cup games. Also I'd prefer a ST that excludes league games against the ugly sisters. The club should look at a way of spreading the cost over the season that doesn't include taking out a loan from some 3rd party company who no doubt take a cut from the club and the fans, the option to pay say quarterly by direct debit would help many pay for their season ticket. with the new electronic ticket it should be easy enough to cancel any that miss a payment. Added extras with the ST would be good but I'd prefer some decent merchandise. Think it's Davy Mains that does the retro tops, stuff like that and some tshirts like the ones Greaves sold when we had the deal with them would be a decent addition, if TTL won't do them there must be some fans that would be happy to help. The Edinburgh & East of Scotland guys have done some great ones over the years
  19. From Maxi: Expect an announcement next month on the new training facility 'all being well'. Then expect around 12 months for council planning to go through as it's considered a major development due to acreage. Ckub will get the pitches done first. 2 grass pitches for 1st and development teams and 2 artificial for academy and ladies' team. Then build the changing and admin facilities. Think indoor facilities are part of the wish list. Season tickets likely to go up assuming we are stll in the premier league Maxi said been no rise in 4 yrs. Was asked to look at some way of spreading cost over the season. New disabled supporter viewing platform had a lot of good feedback Roof on JHS needs work and club would like to do some work in main stand. No update on any development on the bing. Home attendances down on this time last season (around 350 rings a bell maybe someone can confirm) . He highlighted the Motherwell game as the main reason. Midweek, crap weather (my words!) etc meant attendance was well down on average but Dundee game was up. Beth Adamson spoke well about what she was doing, marketing the club to schools, youth football clubs to come along and players going into schools to talk to assemblies. Also good feedback from the female fan survey. Will look to take some of the ideas forward. I'm sure others can add more and correct any errors
