  1. or switch over to BBC1 and see the end of the One Show!
  2. remember arguing if Ian Cameron had scored 3 or 4 on the supporters bus back from Fir Park that night!
  3. Wonder if the club will try and offload him in a loan deal or pay off his contract
  4. IIRC one will be solely for 1st team training, one for reserves & women's team & 2 for the academy teams. Given that here are about a dozen academy squads, four pitches seems about right
  5. Think the mugs are great, especially the black away kits
  6. I'm assuming the 'wages' figures relate to all directly employed by a club so will include non-playing staff like mangers, coaches, office employees etc?
  7. Remember a game at Brockville Chic had been getting pelters from the locals who were delighted when he got clattered right in front of the home section of the shed. When the physio came on the great man who was lying flat out on the pitch was delighted to show where he was hurting by hauling his shorts down and mooning the home fans
  8. we need to remember that new manager or not he can't do anything once the players cross the white line but he will insist they give 110%
  9. I'm over the moon with this thread
  10. Happy to b corrected but I think the plans are for 2/3 all weather (4G) pitches and 1 grass one (for the 1st team) which are to be done first, then the changing facilities/offices/storage will follow. The thinking was get the training pitches done first, and use Firhill for changing/admin etc. short term. The area might be 26 acres but cat see us using the whole space up initially but there is room for expansion, which I guess could include some form of community facility to sweeten the deal with the council
  11. and by having our 'own' facility we wont have to pay rent for all the facilities the teams from the 1st team down to the academy teams use, I believe GB said somewhere the annual costs would be comparable or slightly cheaper renting/leasing the new facility
  12. All goals will be awarded at the discretion of the referee, or in the case of games involving Celtic, Scott Brown, this will also apply to fouls, cautions and ordering offs
  13. pretty sure "sorry" isn't in the SFA dictionary
  14. G. Its on Saturday 12.30 KO - early start on the Sunday hangover
  15. remember coming back on the Clydebank Supporters bus arguing if Ian Cameron scored 3 or 4 goals that night!
  16. He built the first Thistle team I saw and fell in love with and although I only spoke to him in passing at the odd Thistle game he was always a complete gent. A sad loss for all connected with Thistle and especially his family. I hope they get some degree of comfort reading the stories and memories that have been shared here R.I.P. Mr McParland
  17. will wait until I see what squad we have at the end of the window and how they have gelled, way too early to judge on one friendly and one cup game against a lower league team. Also want to see how other teams in our league settle into the league campaign. Wouldn't judge anything on the league cup group games even with Morton and Ayr in the group
  18. Totally agree. Legend and gentleman. RIP Davie
  19. Sounds like a fine example of family planning BB!
  20. In a lower league. Whether ST holdesmes chose to miss the games against the ugly sisters or not isn't the point. Kast year I got 19 league games and 2 league cup games in my ST. Appreciate due to the way the fixtures worked out I got an extra league game but £309 for 21 games is better value than £290 for 18
