  1. Play 3 cb's and we may as well play Craig levein system. No out ball. We woulld lose 1-0 with a scrambled goal from one of 29 corners conceded. Archie should kick Osman and lawless up the proverbials and tell them to play properly. Drop welsh for god sake. Play Christie in there. He cant do any worse. Play 2cb's least likely to get rag dolled. Possibly miller at rb and muzzy somewhere else. And please. No Pogba!!!! If lawless cant be arsed get the Celtic guy on early. But do not invite them to attack for 90 minutes. We ain't playin Barcelona.
  2. We were humped today because Banzo was not playing. We should be begging him to sign for another year as his replacements are not good enough.
  3. Baird was far better. If we hadn't used all 3 subs he should have been subbed when he smashed the ball away after losing possession then committing a foul. We need to get him off our books ASAP. The fans will turn on him now which is counter productive but inevitable. Nisbet should be our reserve striker till the end of the season. I don't think Pogba would fancy another winter in Glasgow knowing everyone thinks he's a f@nny. So hopefully he will walk away of his own accord.
  4. Last 2 posts spot on. Christie could be our new MMMH. If only he could control the ball! Worth a try though.
  5. Great news for him. He deserves it. Suspect bad news for us jags fans. Would be great if he would like anothet year but good luck if he gets a mega deal as long as its nit killie or ross co. Because fox and higgy are aerosols.
  6. Thanks for deve progress LIB. Sounds like another year for Whiteside then. I watched McMullin twice last yrar at lb. Not impressed but pleased if he is progressing at cb. Which brings me back to contract situation. I know that osman, lawless and banzo are out of contract. Is there anyone else? And xan we get rid of pogba who has been hopeless recently?
  7. DU in administration? Sorry, i am gloating.
  8. We should offer him the same money if we can afford it. I think he has performed well enough and he's better than some of the diidies we come up against. But if he stalls don't offer anything better. Are the other 3 cb's signed and is there anyone good in dev squad?
  9. He improved as his fitness improved. And he had some good games. But he was always likely to make a catastrophic error due to lack of concentration. He went to one of our main rivals for more money. Good riddance.
  10. Aye that's correct. 2-0 up vs Morton then we hung on. Otherwise 9 points behind. After that plain sailing if I recall.
  11. Delighted Vinny and endell brought some decorum and intetest to this post. That (away)Morton game was crucial, coming back from 1-2. Would we have turned it round with MacNamara in charge? I agree that we played the best football under Jacky but could he have turned it round?
  12. Don't let him anywhere near Ibrox. He'll end up like them. Bigots!
  13. Think the Ross co effort was OK from memory? As long as it's none of the top 3 of Thomson, Collum or the wee fat red haired guy who did the D u semi vs hibs. Can't remember his name. These 3 are incompetents.
  14. I don't give a stuff who Lawless supports or any other Jags players. Archie has engendered a great team spirit and Lawless always gives 100 PCs as far as I can see. I agree he should be more consistent but he's the one player you look at who can produce a moment of magic. At Hamilton we just needed something different when he produced it. Otherwise we could be in serious trouble. Other teams don't have players like lawless. Ok we have Erskine next season too which is great but he is just as inconsistent. Players like that always are. I agree with LIB. He has had a good season. Let's have 2 players next season who can weave beautiful patters through the turgid overcrowded quicksand of the 'final third'. Btw. Who needs Twitter?
  15. No need to panic. Christy will do fine at lb and any 2 from 4 centre backs are fine. With magical muzzy making mayhem down the right we should give them some problems. But for gods sake watch that right winger with the great left foot!
  16. The northy need to practice this one for the next home game. Some of them may be rather young to know the song though.
  17. Add to that the improvement of players during the season thanks to their own hard graft and management input. I honestly believe that players who leave Thistle regress as they don't have the same standard of management at other clubs. Amoo, Elliot, lawless, booth,Miller and even Bannigan have all become better players this year, some because they have been playing regularly. Welsh is now beginning to show what he can do and I expect great things from Edwards and Lindsay next season. Still waiting for the Pog but I have faith!!
  18. Tull don't quite fit the bill of inspirational music. But I would take it. Aqualung would be good for when the Ugly Sisters reappear.
  19. I appreciate the club works hard on match day experience with hand outs and much improved catering. And a great section for families. But they should get Michael Max back, sort the tannoy and sack the pre match music man. We need some rock!!! At least we only got 5 seconds of the embarrassing ladeeda song. The rugby has acdc followed by Biffy Clyro. Inspiring for players and crowd alike.
  20. The approach by the management team made this game fantastic, even if it ended 0-0. A complete change from Saturday when they lost their bottle, today they were brave in the face of a 1st half going over. Tam was superb.why is he not in the international team at the moment? Today Archie committed The Pog when everyone else would have brought on Edwards. I would have taken him back off again at ht as I certainly lost my nerve but Archie kept cool, assessed where we were going wrong and sent out the same players but a different team! Interesting that he knew Arabs would be 'narrow' . We scored from a wide area and nearly did again with Welsh later on. Excellent management and he certainly conned fat paat. It's great to see Welsh playing so well and Miller great at CB. Welcome back wee Muzzy who has now altered the course of our last 2 wins. Does Archie sometimes wake up in negative frame of mind? If he could get rid of his occasional negative aberrations we could be world beaters.
  21. When I think of Dundee Utd the 1st thing that comes to mind is the hand ball in the cup game. A cheat. This heinous act typifies that club. Sometimes I think of '96 too. And Paton. And Davie Wilson's goal. Although I seem to remember he was in tears after?
  22. I dislike Kilmarnock intensely. But Dundee Utd are lowest of low life. So I would forget about the garbage on Saturday if we can send them down amongst the dead men from where they may not return.
  23. 1st half was good. I didn't think Amoo's crosses were that bad but we as usual had insufficient bodies in the box. Welsh controlled the game and Miller was also doing well. Clark must have booted some arses at ht and possibly changed tactics as they were much more physical 2nd half. Archie panicked and ridiculously subbed Edwards who was our only midfielder supporting our sole striker. Lawless should have been the one to go as he was garbage all day. Much as I like the wee man it was obvious he was not at the races. I doubted when we signed him that Nesbitt would get a game because of the Archie fear factor. This was ridiculed on here after his 1st game when he played great. 1 bad game and he's never seen again. What a surprise! Today's game was crying out for a player like him. Instead Fraser who has been poor all season comes on and wastes possession every time he was in a good position. We may as well send him back to Celtic. Fraser should be nowhere near the 1st team at the moment. Archie has a job to do on him next season to finally realise his potential. Come on Archie, I know you have done well to (almost) secure SPL status again but I don't want to watch such garbage again. If the opposition changes tactics we should adapt in a positive manner. Don't be afraid. I was delighted to see a friend who hadn't been at a game for 35 years. Guess what? He aint comin back for another 35 years. He just couldn't believe the negativity 2nd half. Feel sorry for Miller who has been splendid but Dumbuya is possibly our best player and should be in the team. He changed the Hamilton game in our favour.
  24. I would start with the team that finished on Saturday unless Liam is fit. Welsh played better than Fraser 2nd half.
