  1. I'm providing the alternative view sandy old bean. I don't agree with your many assertion. The balance on that will shift one way or the other after Saturday. In the meantime chill.
  2. Tickety boo. Thanks for asking.
  3. I don't know the inside story but it appears you do. Fair enough. It could backfire. It might not. The bottom line is whoever the team is goes out all guns blazing. That comes from within not the manager. Maybe some players will use it as a convenient excuse to not play well. I don't accept that. Do it for the supporters. Simple
  4. Nb read the pie n bovril thread on this. Hilarious.
  5. Not good considering what happened previously....
  6. The answer is we don't know? We are not in the dressing room....unless there are players on the forum. In my amateur career ( a while back ) I wouldn't have bothered. Maybe it's about who players trust to do the job on he park? A mental inside? I'd be surprised if this *idea had never been tried before. I'll say it again 95% of our fan base couldn't care less about what goes on in the dressing room.
  7. If we get the necessary result no one will care. Football is a poisonous dog eat dog world. Maybe this approach has worked for other managers in the past? Maybe it is desperate. We are in a desperate one of game. As for listening to ally Roy if he was the leak....really? He's had Pelters on here.
  8. Aye shocking. How dare he spend some time with his family. He should be in the stocks after we get beat, made to listen to the forum posts being read to him on a continuous loop of windbaggerry.
  9. I was referring to only those who predict we will get beat on Saturday. They will hopefully eat their words. They may not as we may get beat. Happy days
  10. I'll be there willing the team on. Some are predicting the worst. Let's hope they will be eating their words next week. We have won two of the last 3 vital games. So the team has shown bottle. Onwards.
  11. So no point in the jags support turning up as we are getting beat. Maybe the thistle support should go and watch alloa instead?
  12. Why be logical when you can stick the boot in. The guys I watch the games with have varying views before a ball is kicked. Some are positive. Some fear the worst.....but each and every one of them retain a degree of hope. They and me don't write the team off irrespective of the opposition. I just hope the team rises to the occasion and we get a key result. Why think the worst?
  13. The defeat wasn't down to storey. Easy to blame him and for the record I think he's useless also but.....the entire midfield including bannigan and spittal were slow and pitiful. Just like Harkins. Cardle created the goal and then disappeared. Anderson looked unfit. Mcginty elliot and penrice avrage to poor. So let's get some balance here. Personally I'd put Slater back probably for Harkins. McDonald has to start. Apart from that I can't see too many changes. QOS have to win. May play into our hands on the counter. One can but hope.
  14. I don't have any problem with anyone shredding Caldwell as a manager. But the personal stuff no matter the frustration is not required. Plenty of room on pie n bovril for that bile. On another note I see some are predicting a defeat against QOS...why? Their record is shocking of late. Perhaps being away from home might actually suit us?
  15. They got pumped 4 nil. Let's hope they play exactly like that.
  16. Doolan stayed on albeit he played behind mansell and Fitzpatrick.
  17. No idea. The manager has a degree of culpability but sometimes your work force is just shit. We were that today. It does look like that MacDonald being out was a bigger factor than I thought. That said our midfield in particular was dreadful. No matter what our league position does not lie. We are not a good team for a lot of different reasons. I'm still clinging on to the hope we will avoid the play offs. After that let the real blood letting begin....
  18. Let's cuts to the chase here. The players were abysmal. They should take the kings shares of the blame. They bottled it for reasons we will never know. Yep storey a major part of the blame game but the entire team were gash. That includes Fitzpatrick who I would excuse due to his inexperience. Easy to blame Caldwell but the players let us down today. Fact.
  19. Why the play offs? No reason why results can't go our way next week.
  20. Utter abject performance from whole team. Ayr deserved to win.
  21. So now we know what we have to do. Beat Ayr at home. How difficult can it be....
  22. The brevity of your response suggests you have no counter argument to a well drafted critique of the season to date.
  23. Well said. There remain a few in the churlish camp. Hopefully next game or two will change that. Unlikely though....
  24. Job not done as yet. Would be mad to think we are over the line yet. This is thistle. I'm just hoping our excellent form continues and it doesn't roll on to the final game....
