My guess is that the assistant ref was unsure if Dunne got a touch on the ball and didnt want to flag as it would have been a goal if he didn't. He would then alert the ref via his mic of the fact that he has some doubt about the validity of the goal and wanted a chat. They would then discuss whether Dunne did get a touch and the ref would confirm that he did so it was then it became offside.
In complete contrast the players and management think colt teams in this cup is a tremendous thing and they really felt it very worthwhile - must say I look forward to seeing how our young lads get on against experienced campaigners and I hope the competition remains in its current format - or at least similar
Not in that order but Pat Keogh was sent off and then named MOM. The only one that springs off the top of my head was Ray Farningham against Celtic - maybe 1992/3 season?
Saddened to hear this news and would like to extend my deepest sympathies to Maggie, Fiona and all family and friends - the Thistle family is a little poorer tonight
Jim
It's a lovely story but I do just wanna point out it's Allan Dickson! Just imagining a Rodney/Rooney situation!! Best wishes indeed to all concerned
have recorded a 20 min interview with Dools (along with Gerry Britton, Alan Archibald and Ian Maxwell) for show on Jagzone in the coming weeks. Keep an eye out for dates of broadcast over the next week or so
Very sad news indeed - very decent keeper and a very decent bloke - deepest condolences to family and friends and sorry for the strong language but #f**kcancer
Interestingly over the past couple of months I've asked our guests on Jagzone who they would vote for and while they all admitted there were many choices - I think all of them went for Edwards! - id say I asked maybe 5 players and that was the unanimous answer
Just for the purposes of clarity the Beeb are not banned from Ibrox - Chris McLaughlin is and as a consequence the Beeb choose not to send any representative to the ground.
In saying that I wholeheartedly agree with your comments about hypocrisy - sadly no longer surprising though! Part of the reason I've not bought a paper for several years
