  1. Brings back fond memories of the day / night, 'we' helped open the Motorola Stand. A massive Thistle support but 2 nil down at half-time. Then the genius move by one JL to move Davie Irons to sweeper ( if I recall correctly), and a 3 goal turnaround that no-one seen coming in the second half.
  2. I'm sure it will be compensated in no small way, by our travels to the north east in the cups.
  3. Roughy was my hero back then and my whole family often spoke about him in glowing terms. Think he had a pub called The Camp Bar on the Garscube Road that my Granda, Dad and Uncle's frequented.
  4. Poor half. Robinson in no mans land and McInroy giving the ball away in areas he needs to keep it. Not sure of McMillans contract status but playing like he's away next season. Next goal could decide the tie.
  5. Looking forward to this one on the tele here in Corby. In a funny way, I think a 1 goal win for Thistle would suit both teams at this stage. Enjoy the game all.
  6. Think we have to be happy with that, as Airdrie played their pitch well. Neilson had a good game and it was pass marks for the team as a whole. We'll be looking to our game winners on Friday, as they were quiet tonight. Roll on Friday. One game at a time!
  7. Think you're right. Alston gave the ball away, when attempting easy passes, at least 7 times in a row at one point. What is going on.
  8. Better on this occasion to rest the 1st choice players, as even if you bring them on, at least they will have had some rest. If you start with your best team and go 2 0 down and Airdrie go 2 0 up, you'd end up playing them for the full game just in case. I think it's a bold team selection but the right one under the circumstances.
  9. BBC posting some interesting stats for each game. Here's ours v todays opponents:
  10. Thistle & Scotland Every other team in the world Rangers NB: Russells Paradox at play here
  11. A draw should do it. Think we're +10 goals to the good.
  12. Everything about that goal was class. Brilliant
  13. Massive today and I do think we could still need that point, as I'd take Dunfermline to win their last three games. We don't want to go in to Utd's flag game needing anything on the last day. Thoughts at the minute though, should be fixed on attaining 3rd place and the positives that come with that. Probably take a draw today but a win get's us in a more positive place for the upcoming play offs. Mon The Jags.
  14. Do we have a player called Loney, or are things so bad, we have had to bring in an emergency loan player for the bench?
  15. We're saving that up for the two-legger
  16. The other teams also play Dundee Utd and Raith and each other. Pretty sure a draw v Airdrie and win v Ayr will leave us 3rd.
  17. 2 draws and a win for 3rd. Would take a draw today as never an easy place to go.
  18. I'm sure we want to win in style and for it to be an enjoyable watch but it's been a pretty good March. 3 wins from 3 (with one goal conceded), 2 draws (one away after being 2-0 down and one against the League leaders), and an unfortunate loss against Raith, after dominating the game. If it wasn't for our results in February, we'd be pushing for automatic promotion. Finish 3rd and we have a real chance of reaching the play-off final, where as we know, anything can happen. Revenge would be oh so sweet.
  19. Thanks FT. Another signed football I'll never get to see.
  20. Haven't had the chance to read the full match thread from Tuesday, but can imagine it didn't make pretty reading. Watched the game on TV and felt we played well and were very unlucky not to win. Similar performances to the end of the season will see us in the play-offs no doubt. After Tuesday, I think we'd take Raith over two legs. They've been riding their luck all season and won't keep it up. Us to beat Ross County in the play-off final. We owe them one after all.
  21. Thought Milne was better than this. The rest of the team doing fine and we could get back in this.
