  1. Nothing new here either. Think back to Parkhead in the early 90's, when the ref managed to magic 8 or 9 minutes from nowhere. We still held on for the win though. My Dad told me he once had to leave on 90 minutes v Rangers, when we were 1 - 0 up. He found out later they'd scored 2 in injury time to win 2 - 1. Not sure of the year but possibly the 70's. Too many horror stories against this mob. Let this be our time, please.
  2. Look at how long the grass is. Wish I was better at faces, is that Shaw in the background?
  3. Fond memories of watching that team and loved the strip.
  4. Thanks FT, a small but nice win for me. I also won a signed football a couple of draws back. It's never arrived, so I'm guessing you have to collect. Anyone know if that's how it works?
  5. Tree jokes aside, I was wondering whether the City End was big enough for us to flatten and use as a training area. City of Glasgow council building approval would of course be needed, in case it somehow spoiled the view from the factory windows nearby. I mean, it's not as if it was ever used as part of a football ground before. I felt like I came up with a good idea and then annoyed myself.
  6. Agree stillresigned, I just didn't phrase it too well. Rangers usually get the lowest ranked team from what I can tell and maths cannot explain how Rangers and Celtic avoid each other until the semis or final. Us versus The Drum is fantasy land.
  7. We all know who'll get the lowest ranked team in the Cup in the draw. Most likely at home, as the capacity is too small at their grounds. It's at this time that we get an away tie in the north east, so expect Aberdeen or Dundee United. A home tie versus any beatable team or away to Celtic or Rangers would do for me though.
  8. Agreed. A club shop is a must and it's great fun, especially for youngsters to visit and spend some pocket money. I'd hope they'd have some 'professional' assistants, as when I attended our club shop many years ago (was some tops and stuff in an office above the main stand), I was treated as if I was a massive inconvenience to the lady who really didn't want to let me in to the building.
  9. A nice prize and good to see the club benefit from the same amount.
  10. Let's go Thistle. An early goal and then do the business. Massive 45mins coming up.
  11. Great win and has done our GD no harm either. On a wee run of sorts now and sets up a biggy versus QP. Well done Jags.
  12. Pretty sure the BBC had Milne scoring a double but then changed it to BBG.
  13. Very positive situation Thistle have managed. It's great that we have a game on and that the pitch and surrounding areas are being made safe. Communication has been excellent and we've given ourselves the chance to have a good crowd at the match, as well as a fully sold out hospitality suite. Well done Jags, now just get the result that puts us back in with a chance. Up The Jags.
  14. I don't post a lot but have had PC troubles the last few days. Can't believe what's happened and hope we can move on in a positive way.
  15. Watch: Partick Thistle goalkeeper scores late equaliser at Cove Rangers - BBC Sport Oh, how we love a pitch invasion. Brilliant, and great to see so many young faces in the Thistle support.
  16. Yep, can only ask for a home tie. Happy with that.
  17. .................. now if only Cove or Hamilton could sneak an equaliser
  18. What I'd give to be able to enjoy a pint with pals and walk up to Firhill every second Saturday. Despite all of the negative stuff going on and the poor results, Wha's like us. Enjoy the game westertonjag, I hope we get the win for you and everyone else of a Thistle persuasion. Up The Jags.
  19. C'mon Jags, let's do this today. Enjoy the game everyone that's going. Let's hope Big BG can do a Geordie on them.
  20. Wow, what happened there. Seems like an exciting 2 minutes of play.
  21. Annoying as phuck getting drawn away up North again and even worse when the game takes place.
  22. Not a great performance but I think we'd have been good for at least a point if the ref hadn't overreacted to Turners' challenge. Also, couldn't believe the kit choice of the ref, which for me, clashed with Cally. I'm surprised no-one actually tackled him on one of the numerous occasions he got in the way.
  23. Great win, and now for some beer and maybe a rum and coke too. Well done Jags.
