  1. Thread locked as the same points are simply being made again and again and again.
  2. Do we need to start, like Twitter (sorry X), to start flagging up posts that contain demonstrabily false information?
  3. Hi, Just a quick message. Firstly, I hope everyone is okay after Sunday's events. Shankly was wrong, football isn't more important than life and death. It is still a big part of all our lives though and I can't have been the only person to have been left absolutely drained by what happened on Sunday. Personally I can't face reading about Sunday, no interest in reviewing all the VAR calls (I've seen the Doc penalty incident - how that isn't a pen I don't know - but none of the others) and certainly won't be watching the highlights. It took me over 10 years to watch highlights from that game at Tannadice. I imagine it will be at least that again before I watch anything from Sunday. It happened. It hurts, but it can't be changed. I'll likely watch the Scotland games later this month but those aside I'm going to try and forget about football for the rest of the month. That means I won't be checking on here, or reading other football forums, and won't be answering any messages or dealing with what little Admin this site generally requires. If you message about anything then and don't receive a response It's nothing personal. I'm just gubbed and need a rest from football for a bit. Please play nice, I know you will, and see you all in July. OTIG
  4. Update I don't see anyone waiting for approval other than some cleatly dodgy ones dating back to 2020. What was there original username. I might be able to do something with that. PM if you prefer. I'm not working today so there is a chance it will be actioned.
  5. The bit in bold is strange. I've not received any emails or aware of a generic acknowledgement. I'll look into that. Last time I checked there wasn't any new members awaiting approval. I'll double check that too. There's no email sent to me when there is which is problematic. It relies on me doing peoridic checks which given my lack of attention isn't ideal.
  6. LLB, I've edited your post to replace Jags Trust with PTFC Trust.
  7. With the Club's 150th anniversary* coming up in the not too distant future an updated Official History would be ideal to coincide with that. *But is 2025 rather than 2026? Contempary sources of the time list the Club's formation as December 1875. Edit to add: Didn't mean to post this as Admin. Ach, well no foul no harm
  8. That's a match report not an error message! Honking. Absolutely honking.
  9. Well at least you can admit it! Where were you in Dallas November '63? On a serious note. You can occasionally let things slide. And @Lambies Lost Doo , to save my DMs from unwanted attention, not sure what your contribution added to the debate during an important time. Let's try and keep things on topic. Edited to Add: I've given a thread another tidy up to try and keep it on topic. I'd prefer to not have to continue to do so.
  10. I've given the thread a wee tidy up to hopefully bring it back on topic.
  11. These are important times on and, perhaps particuarly, off the pitch for our Club. It is vitally important for Thistle fans to have dialogue with each other to discuss these issues. This forum is just one place where these discussions can take place, and I would hope that no matter what my own particular thoughts might be they aren't reflected in how the site is moderated. There has certainly been no attempt to stiffle debate or to try and push that debate in any particular direction. It was some years ago now that I was approached to take over 'ownership' of this forum largely because nobody else approached to do so wanted to take it on. Rather than see the forum shut, I agreed. I'm now at the stage where I have no desire to continue with it. Previously it took next to no moderation. Days and weeks would go by where I wouldn't even look at it unless notification of an issue hit my inbox. That started to change recently and it's starting to take up time that I don't really have. Given the importance of current events I really don't want to shut the forum down. It's nowhere as busy as it once was, but it is a still a good source for debate and for the sharing of information. We need as much communication as possible, now more than ever. With that in mind I'm hoping someone else can take it on. I'm not setting any deadlines or a closure date. I really hope that can be avoided. But if anyone is interested in taking it on could you ping me a message and I'll review where we are at the end of the current month. Thanks for taking the time to read this and apologies for all the nonsense in the last couple of days.
  12. Can I ask that when commenting on the myriad of Fans' organisations/trusts activities that the correct terminology is used so as to avoid confusion. On the basis of consistency I would suggest the following: Partick Thistle Trust: PTFC Trust The Jags Foundation: TJF The Jags Trust: JT Just to add further confusion in addition to the above there also exists The Partick Thistle Charitable Trust which as the name suggests is a Charitable organisation and in no way linked to the above.
  13. Just on a wee housekeeping note can I request, as difficult as it is sometimes to keep up, that we use the correct terminology when referencing the various fans' organisations/trusts. Namely (in alphabetical order lest there is thought to be bias): Partick Thistle Trust (PTFC Trust) The Jags Foundation (TJF) The Jags Trust (JT) Thanks
