  1. I'd agree that we'll have a bit of tactical and squad rotation this season. I would think the manager has had plenty of food for thought with last season.
  2. I've not been there since the night Sandra Clark had his last shift as Jag's boss. Might be a decent wee trip.
  3. They make our midfield seem youthful Might be a good wee afternoon jaunt. I assume they still have a social club?
  4. Stopping where they are and talk of an artificial pitch being laid. Where will they grow their lucky white heather now?
  5. Well Sean has been freed, so what next?
  6. I see Christie's brother Brett was released by Sunderland......
  7. Think he's getting a chance to prove his fitness with the Pars before JJ decides if he stays or goes.
  8. Some feedback from a wee Rovers fan on Lawless. It's good he'll be used to the strip as well : Too good for divisions 2 and 3, Thistle is probably a good move for his first full senior season. Wee attacking midfielder, very skilful and nippy, chipped in with a few goals at the Rovers too. The full package going forward, but I'd have liked to see him contribute more to defensive duties, he might get caught out in that department at Partick. Great that he's stayed in Scotland and found full-time football, surely with hope to be a regular starter. With the energy he has, continued hard work and half a chance he could be a standout in your team. Sounds a good prospect and could be a replacement for Cairney?
  9. Not very. Maybe within 25lk for Aaron Sinclair In an ideal world transfer fees would reflect the cost of developing our own players. However this is only addressed when they are out of contract before they reach 24? Even then I think their wages are the major factor. Basically there isn't the money in the Scottish game to allow for a fee paying transfer market. You hope to sell to England or abroad. Hamilton got 25k for Imrie from St Mirren. Outside of Celtic there is no cash to spend, just meet wage budgets, imo.
  10. From p&b: da_no_1 Yesterday, 23:32Major cost-cutting at EEP. Out of those out of contract only two, Mason & Buchanan, have been offered contracts on reduced terms. Mark Kerr is on holiday as is Andy Dowie. Those released - Graham, Smith, Potter, Keddie, McDougall, Hardie, Rutkiewicz, Bell, Phinn, Clarke. Any others of interest?
  11. Don't see where he'd fit in but would he be worth adding to the squad if demands aren't too high? May interest Morton or Dumbarton as he's from Clydebank?
  12. McPake was pretty exposed against the Jambos. Skacel's first goal was down.to the space he gave him at first, then he could only help deflect it past Brown. Nowhere near international class, norn iron might be his level.
  13. Airdrie Utd have a decent ground and a larger support. Both grounds are relatively close to Glasgow. Bit more edge to games with Airdrie Utd. So I'll go for Airdrie Utd, but not too fussed who wins through.
  14. I paid in at the gate for every league game. Including the two for twenty offer against Morton and Ayr. This came to £292. I also went to all the cup games bar Stenny so that was another £30. Me-thinks that season books are good value especially if you take your under 16s with you. I'll be looking to invest in one this season.
  15. Most clubs in the top flight were BoS who Lloyds took over. It appears they got minty Moonbeams to sell his club due to his mih empire being between 500 and 700 million pounds in debt to them. Do rAngers even have an account with them anymore?
  16. Doolaninho > Baird
  17. Wouldn't mind playing the green arse cheek development squad again. Good atmosphere, biggest crowd of the season and Tommy Stewart's finest moment
  18. Great effort from all who organised. Nice to see OneThistle and the club working together to great effect. Keep up the good work folks
  19. Noticed that Rowser filled in at sweeper when he came on at Hamilton.
  20. Early days, season isn't over but any news yet
