Lot of young lads getting a run out against a well organised Motherwell with one eye on Europa Cup next week .Have to say our forwards looked like wee boys in comparison to Well’s strapping big back 4 including Steve O’Donnell playing in second half.All in all a good workout before League Cup action on Tuesday.MoM Harry Milne…can expect that name featuring heavily as the season unfolds….had some great defensive tackles and headers today .

Haud me back…Jags score 5 pens in one game and rightly prevail…we’ll done all involved .

Any standouts amongst the new or old intakes ? .

8/10 ..not liking the white shorts but still a very good effort .

It’s ok in an “I’m not really bothered” sort of way .

Great news but need to do something radical with that wee match day shop of ours .If away team are not using main door foyer as a changing room it could be put to better use as a match day shop .

There’s also a small but dedicated band of non match day volunteers who do this type of work throughout the year .

Great to see some new and old faces back at Firhill today volunteering as part of the annual pre season stadium spruce up which runs to the end of this month.Also big hello again to the lads from the Jags Trust who helped out again today .Great effort by one and all .

Accies free Moyo,big strong striker/good in the air …although never forgiven him for spoiling a potential 6 nil battering of Accies at start of season .

Thought there was not too much between the teams last night apart from the glaringly obvious fact they can bring on players from the bench who have a positive influence…. whilst we can’t ,don’t want to single out the young boy Alegria but for crying out loud , I predicted we would stumble into the playoffs but expect an exit on Friday….please let me eat my own words Jags .

Would not be surprised if Tiff along with Big Brian get rested up for next week.

From a purely financial standpoint would like to see Dunf stay up as they tend to bring a bigger support .

And a cheeky wee Hamilton and Ayr would top off a perfect Weekend .

Yup, the heady air of the big city does strange things to our bumpkin brethren .

Was there a game in Glasgow today ?….wondered why there was plethora of middle aged, pot bellied troglodytes squeezed into fitba tops roaring at each other today .

Strangely looking forward to this one as I have no notions or illusions of us finishing higher than 5th given our current form and pool depletion .Arbroath have been a bit meh by their standards recently but have enough in their tank to out fox us .So will enjoy pre and post match swally and anything else is a bonus.

Good grief…our bottle has well and truly crashed.

Never in all my years supporting this crazy, often frustrating but wonderful old team have I ever felt the need to boo let alone turn my back on my team and walk out on a bad day…especially on one when our team is obviously depleted, struggling a bit and our season is on a knife edge .Sorry to say but I felt a tinge of shame today when walkout started as I thought we were better than that . Nows the time to get behind the team and leave any reckoning till end of reason .

Thought the walkout by large sections of our support in second half did not help confidence which is obviously down right now .
