Foster name dropping Tiff twice in his Jagzone interview is going to mean a major let down if he’s not one of them. I’d give him a three year deal because if he keeps up the performances, bigger clubs will swoop.

Gordon seems a good guy even though I’ve never been completely convinced by him. I think McCall has signed him more as cover for Banzo and Doc and to fair a 1 year deal is fair. I hope to be proven wrong as I want every Thistle player to do well. If Tiff signs expect Daffy Duck to make an appearance...

If you can afford to, then for the interest of club go for it. It’s better to get the money in early for building a Championship team. Also, if it helps bring back Tiff...

It may be a small thing, but I’m liking the fact that McCall is quoted with each player that leaves the club. It’s refreshing to hear his thoughts rather than just sticking with the generic ‘we wish x all the best in his career’.

Joe has been great this season and his stats back that up, despite the number of crosses that failed to get past the first defender! What I liked most about him was his commitment and desire to do things in games, even if they didn’t always come off. On top of that, a true pro. I thought he would get another year, but more as an impact sub and perhaps letting him go to a team that will start him more than we may have, is best for him. Good luck Joe.

Foster was hinting on Off The Ball at the weekend that he was staying, so I expect that he will get at least a year. I like how McCall goes for players that can play a number of positions, as this will be key next season. I’m expecting to sign a goalkeeper, ‘Who can also fill in at Right Back...’

Penrice is a difficult one as I think there’s a player in there. He also was in and out the team as well as the different positions. During this time, Gordon was more often starting every game and with the exception of the occasional goal offered very little. Would rather keep Penrice and get rid of Gordon, who I’ve never been convinced with.

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned it, but Foster was on Off The Ball today and made a couple of hints he would still be with us next season, so I’m expecting he will be one of the announcements next weeks. Also gave his league win bonus (£2k) to 4 Thistle youth players who were in the squad. Personally think it’s a great move give how many positions he has played this season.

Slightly off topic, but I remember attending a game at Firhill when we beat QOTS 5-4 and all 9 goals we scored by different players. I’ve always wondered if this is a record or if there has been a higher scoring game with no player scoring more than one? It would have been around 1999/2000 IIRC.

Last night on the BBC, McCall mentioned a couple of times sitting down with Tom English for an hour long special. Do you think this will happen or was he just having a dig at Kenny McIntyre? Personally I would love to hear this as English was one of the most vocally outraged journalists about our plight.

I love the idea of this thread and will be interested to see who agrees... Ross Alexander (Nisbet), 46 now living in East Lothian. My wife is a lifelong Thistle fan and (easily) converted me when we met in the mid 1990’s. I always try and be civil on this forum as we all have a common interest and goal (as per Thursday night).

100% we should accept the trophy. The trophy has nothing to do with Blazers and Everything to do with football. The players deserve it, from when the 5th goal went in and Sneddon ran the length of the pitch to celebrate with all the players/subs and canal fans. For everything this season has put the players, management, board and us fans through, I want to see that trophy lifted, even if just on the telly.
