That got me thinking; Are there specific stipulations about when a player qualifies for a testimonial? If so, is it decided by nationwide authorities, or is it up to individual clubs? I've long thought that if you play for 10 seasons, you get a testimonial (whether you want it or not!), is that right?
Which Jags players have had one? From (frazzled) memory, I remember Donnie McKinnon, Jackie Campbell, Alan Rough, Kris Doolan, Stuart Bannigan, and now Stevie Lawless. Anybody else, maybe from earlier years? I don't think Davie McParland got one, though nobody would be more qualified than him. I also seem to remember a few "benefit" games (e.g., for injured players who retired from the game), but details escape me.
