  1. I started a thread many years ago on Summer football and was universally slaughtered. I used to argue with all the boys on the Thistle bus in the 90s about it and got the same weird is he having a laugh looks. But just like Electric cars and Wind turbines everything has its day. If the lower leagues have now been stalled once again, what better time to advocate a move to this Summer to finish the season and get watching football in t-shirt weather. Halleujah.
  2. Just saw that Chorley FC beat Derby in the FA cup and had a look at their website. My eye was drawn to an advert for there own Lager made by a wee local brewer. called Hops and shots. Would really like a Jags version. Anyone any contacts with Brewdog? https://hopsandshots.co.uk/magpipa-black-ipa-case-x6-chorley-football-club/ Would be an excellent Christmas gift for all my OF relatives
  3. Things gone from Fitba.... Maradona, Tommy Docherty and Jim McClean. Probably a few more I am forgetting. 1.Being allowed a can of Tennants on the supporters bus and their being more than three supporters buses. 2.No grass on our pitch by November except in the four corners 3.Players with a bit of character like Chico
  4. Agree the game should start early at 12.00 but think we should have used USH as and advantage and took the £6000 hit. Favour fortunes the bold and if we could have had that one more game last year we might have not been in this league. Is there not a two week gap until our next game which would give all teams and chance to rest injuries. I have also been looking at some weather sites and there is some forecasting for another "Beast from the East" mid January so again I think with a win today the adavantage gained may have been an opportunity lost.........Edited to catch up...Summer Football my bestest top choice
  5. If you use the small elastics that she normally adds to package you can make your own adjustable ear loops. This allows you tighten around ears by pulling ribbons ends
  6. Thanks Guys Heather is made up that with your great compliments. She put a lot of thought into them from a health perspective rather than just how they look. As you say she puts three layers of cotton, she has a space for filters and a solution to get spare filters cheaply and the nose wire to make a good fit that can help with fogging of the specs. She also makes them with ribbons as elastics eventually lose there pull if you follow the health directives and wash everyday at 60degC. For those who still want it to loop over the ears she send a few small elastic bands with the package that are easily replaced and a wee cheat sheet solution to make it like an elastic type version. Stay safe Topcat
  7. Need a new thread. "Court it isn't then" Although it was 50/50 and in the end failed I still think it did what it said on the tin..namely upset the apple cart and push the issue to the top of the pile of news. Had we followed the rules and went to the SFA for arbitration this would all have disappeared like a damp squib. No publicity and controversy no imputus to compromise.
  8. Get a mask with a wire insert which you shape to the bridge of your nose and it prevents your own breathe steaming up the specs. My daughter lost her job in the theatre and costume industry and is making masks to try and make ends meet. If anyone wants one. Probably this not allowed. Sorry mods
  9. That looks decidedly like copy and paste. Trying to pass yourself off as a Gael. That,s just dastardly
  10. Is my time clock wrong. Your BBQ is going at eleven at night. Party on!
  11. Cripes we named our stadium after this, FFS
  12. Cannae find it. Is it a twittery thing?
  13. never knew there was another one As Wee Jim only has 82 posts here I,m taking its a double bluff.
  14. One Rumour is its Dave King ,former Rangers chairman
  15. Please don,t awaken the beast from the East (eh south) . Only joking WJ
  16. Never heard you so beaten down Muscat Jag. But your right that the product doesn,t deserve the loyalty that it gets. I have switched off totally to away fixtures and I have to admit have found it harder to drag myself to Firhill of recent times even though we are no strangers to the ups and downs of relegation/promotion.
  17. Amazing Stuff. Its been an absolute age in the internet news era and we still don,t know the identity of said legal benefactor. Papers ,Rumour and conspiracy websites must be loosing their touch. Usually by this time its leaked.
  18. I think WJ your style maybe brings some hurtful truths of how legalise and the system of law will pan out. I disagree that some fans just want blood. I think just for once they want justice to fall on our side of the fence after being trampled time after time on so many past occassions. They are being fans and that means passion. Your suggestions that we are in over our necks is probably correct but if in one years time we have played no competitive games because our league was cancelled and the shutters are being pulled down at Firhill for the final time will taking no action now be something as a fan you will be happy to cheerily accept. All this paper talk of our expulsion from the SFPL? Isn,t that what has already happened? Now that things are back in the melting pot and the wasps nest has been stirred do you think there may just be a chance of a re-vote happening and those three clubs suddenly changing there vote. More chance than if we do heehaw.
  19. Really sticks in the throat that Dundee Utd, Raith and Cove all state with total hypocracy how this will be ruinous for them while they casually accepted our fate being the same. Somehow I reckon if Falkirk could find their own benefactor they might like to stick it to Raith also (supposed champions) and join our legal team.
  20. TBH I already do boycott away grounds.. Those that have artificial surfaces. Been doing this for quite a few years
  21. calling this wrong as a fan mate.. Its time for fury and gettin right in tae them. We have been shafted so many times and the our previous reactions have obviously been noted. No more.
