Out and out penalty box striker but probably way past his best. He is way out the picture at Easter Rd so there could be some substance to the rumour. kni Posted February 2, 2015 Report Share Posted February 2, 2015 (edited) The BBC has reported that  "Fraser Fyvie has become the latest player to leave Wigan Athletic.  "The midfielder has been released from his contract after making just one appearance for the Championship side this season in the 2-1 Capital One Cup defeat at Burton.  "Fyvie was signed by Roberto Martinez in 2012 from Aberdeen and spent two loan spells at Yeovil and Shrewsbury during his time at the DW Stadium."  ATS next to leave in the clear out, possibly on loan? I'm sure Fyvie will have plenty options, not sure how well he is rated down south but pretty much any club up here would grab the chance to sign him. Seems to be an abundance of good central midfielders these days, a generation of kids brought up with Lampard and Gerrard as their heros. Heffernan is just like Doolan, maybe slightly better but pretty much the same player. Eccleston gives us something different from Dools and has done well when given the chance. Contributed more in his 5/10 mins on Friday than doolan did the whole game. It's funny how every game we play (outwith Hamilton of course) that opposition fans and neutrals all say we are so light up front and Doolan doesn't do enough, most fans on P&B agree, yet on here it's a sin to not think Doolan is amazing. Â Hibs fans hate Heffernan - 4 goals in 27 games last year and 1 goal in 13 this year (in a 4-0 win). Better with Doolan and a youngster as backup.
