oneteaminglasgow
If being able to smoke will help entice people back to firhill then go for it, certainly better than guys asking you to stand up so the stewards can't see them having a sly fag during half time. potty trained
For reference, a smoking shelter costs about 1000-2000 quid depending on size. I'm quite sure the company who do our dugouts could do us a deal. You'd only need one for the NS as it would still be in the area of the stand. The JHS wouldn't need one as you would be just exiting to a taped off area like a gig at the barras.
BowenBoys
Why not let fans smoke between the main stand and the north stand?
potty trained
Why not let fans smoke between the main stand and the north stand? I'd suggest that where the shelter would be placed. if anything having a shelter would be a courtesy to non smokers and make it easier to steward smokers as they are still inside the ground. ChewinGumMacaroonBaaaz
Football/sport - health Smoking - unhealthy A lot of kids are in the stadium. Do we really want them thinking it's the norm to spark up during a football match? Surely people can go for 2 hours without a smoke. Some loonbaws are suggesting selling beer at the football too. Y'd think people could go without the bevvy for a couple of hours too. But hey, takes all sorts i guess.
p12tfc
People won't start " flocking " back to firhill when the can smoke during the game or when the team is winning ( does help though ). People will start going back when the price drops significantly e.g £10 for adults. £22 for a game of football in Scotland is ridiculous

lady-isobel-barnett
That's the great thing about covering the Bing End with gnomes. The attendance will go up. By how many? Well I suppose it's completely dependent on the number of gnomes. Oh, and smoking supposedly stunts your growth. So no smoking shelter at that end please. joekea
Just in case someone in the senior management team just happens to read this topic........we (smokers) don't need the club to spend any money on a shelter..we only ask to be allowed to go outside (half-time only if it helps the Smoking Police) and have a quick smoke...rain, hail or shine!
