Jaggernaut
Gotta say it: Well done Malmo!!! In what passes for the mindset of John C*llins: I wonder who is holding them back in their own league, which is after all massively superior to the SPFL top division. Lindau
Sorry Jagger, we usually sing from the same sheet, but with our club in the state it is in just now and desperately needing money to get some players in, I find it hard to believe that you would prefer Malmo getting through than our club benefitting by a badly needed £150,000. Don't give a monkeys about Celtic, Joan Collins and the money they would have made by qualifying, they are always going to be streets ahead of us, but I do care about my club and going by the way we have started this season, we needed that £150,000 more than any other club in our league! Jaggernaut
Lindau, I thought about it for some time before posting..... just couldn't help myself. I'm delighted that they've fallen so early. I'm guessing that we hadn't budgeted for Hendry leaving, so that will help to make up the shortfall. Dick Dastardly
Taxi for Mr Deila. Perhaps our former manager will get the chance to mentor the side he has already built at the East of Glasgow.

Everybody entitled to their opinion mate, just not one that I personally can understand given the apparent state our club is in at the moment
p12tfc
I would have been quite happy for Celtic to get through. Not only for the 150k but for the 6 games of champions league football to watch on a cold wet Tuesday/Wednesday night.

ian_mac
Quite disturbing that so many people are willing to celebrate a defeat of a fellow Scottish team that has cost our own club over £100k that we desperately needed.
Jaggernaut
Jeez, as if our own start to the season wasn't bad enough, some folk are berating those Jags fans who did not support sellick! Presumably the same people are upset that the h uns didn't win promotion last season; after all, that would lead to more income for us. oneteaminglasgow
As has been explained on another thread, it's better long term that they don't get Champions League football, and continue to do so for seasons to come. Thank you Malmo, doing Scottish football a big favour here.
ian_mac
"Long term" doesn't really help us at the moment. Attendances have plummeted and we have a very weak squad. That £150k probably meant more to us than any other club in the league. It's nothing to do with supporting Celtic, it's about wanting our own club to be able to strengthen before the window closes. I'll support any team in a match that has no bearing on us but can potentially earn us that kind of money. Had I known how bad our finances, crowds, and first team squad would be at this stage, and if there was proof that Rangers being promoted would earn us the same kind of money (£150k) then yes I would have preferred them to be promoted. oneteaminglasgow
We'll have to agree to disagree here Ian. I personally would rather see long term benefits and improvements to our club and league as a whole rather than short term benefits to the club at the long term detriment of both club and league system but fair enough. ian_mac
Normally I would agree with you but the "long term benefits" claim is extremely dubious and hypothetical. Plus, with the state of the club both on and off the park, I would much rather have preferred the money on this occasion.
Barney Rubble
Too many of you do not see the bigger picture, and not just for the badly needed 150k. You so clearly overlook the amusement value of seeing that lot geeting horsed six times in the CL.
