Members Willjag
I see Johan Cruyff has passed away today. One of the biggest reasons for me getting right into Football when I was a kid was watching this Dutch Master on TV. Pele had reached the end of his career and People were looking for the next big thing and Johan stepped up and more! Did things on the pitch that were never seen previously but are now standard. Thanks Johan. The Cruyff Turn.
lady-isobel-barnett
Just heard the sad news. One of the greatest. Played in that great Dutch side where traditional positions meant next to nothing. RIP

Mr Bunny
Sheesh, I'm amost as old as he was when he died. And he was a professional footballer. I suppose his life had lots of pressures which had affected him. That is a young age to die these days (at least I hope so). Gary Peebles Tackle
Yep, sad news. RIP. Awesome player and nice to see his legacy living on with every Barca team, from the youngest youth team to the 1st team - all play the same formation & style, which was his vision. The Clasico on 2nd of April will be quite emotional at the Camp Nou I think.

Duck snort
The 1974 World Cup is the first I remember watching so Cruyff was the first of the greats of the game I actually saw play live. Such a stylish player and should really have led the Dutch to the trophy that year.
